infected in Middle river

Hi.
my computer 2 days ago started to flash and there is a warning about being infected along with a prompt for psguard. I have tried psguard, microsoft anti-spyware beta with no improvement. I attempted to load and run norton antivirus
2005 and it won't scan in windows (XP). I booted from the cd and was able to do scans in dos and nothing was found but that was with the definisions that were on
the disk. During windows norton installation I was able to download the latest definisions but norton won't do a full scan. It stops responding. At startup it
did indicate a virus infection that it could not remove. I cleaned out all the temporary and TIF files I downloaded SpSeHJfix112.zip but when I tried to run the executable nothing seemed to happen and the program stoped responding. I let it
run for about 15 min. an nothing seemed to happen. I was running it in safe mode.
SO I rebooted and tried running CWshreader and nothing was found. I loaded
HIJACK This to a folder on the C drive. The Log file is included. I would appreciate
any and all help. Thanks

Thanks for the help so far. I did as you suggested although several of the items you said to check did not show up. I did check all the items that did show up from your list. Also in Add/Remove programs, MyWebsearch and Spykiller were
not listed but Viewpoint Manager, Wild Tangent, and PSGuard were listed and so I removed them. I also did as you suggested in Safe Mode. Upon reboot my computer behaved essentially the same. There is a flashing warning that my computer may be infected(in red) and to click here for the latest spyware removal.
I think that is for downloading PSGuard. Also In the lower right hand area of the desktop a window opened and indicated that virus disinfection was in process and
further read: Virus Name: W32/Smitfraud
Virus Location: C:\Windows\System32\wininet.dll
It asked if I wanted to reboot to continue. Upon rebooting, there was no change with both warnings still displaying. Here is the lates hijack this log file and once

LDTATE, The computer is much much better. The problem with the desktop is gone and there are no virus indications. During the Ewido scan I never saw the Binder, Crypter or Archivees boxes. So I just ran the scan. By the look of the scan reports, does everything look ok? Is there anything else I need to do? The Applications that were used, Panda antivirus, Ewido security suite, etc. were all free evaluation versions. Should I invest in the full blown versions and or do you recommend something else?
