Just found you forum today, hope you can help.

My troubles began when Norton began detecting files infected by the download virus. It quarantenes (sp?) files that it finds, it's up to about 400 now, but never seems to solve the root problem, whatever it is putting the files on the computer. That's problem 1.

I now also have a second problem, since I started searching of solutions on the internet today, I can't get rid of the constant pop-ups telling me I have a unprotected computer and need to run this scan or buy this software. This seemed to have started after I went for a free scan from pcworld using spydoctor. I have since removed the software it loaded but the pop-ups continue.

Any help you can provide would be appreciated. The following is my log file.
