Hang-up on Win98 Shutdown/restart request

Hello, Here is my sister's pc configuration: Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1 Scan saved at 2:06:08 PM, on 8/13/05 Platform: Windows 98 SE (Win9x 4.10.2222A) MSIE: Internet Explorer v6.00 SP1 (6.00.2800.1106) When I use the Start button, and select Shutdown, then select Restart, it closes programs and begins shutdown but hangs at the "shutting down…." screen. The only way to recover is to cold boot. Using Shutdown / Restart in MS-DOS works just fine. Shutdown only also works fine. Note: this is Win98. Thanks for any advice!
