old laptop hookup

I recently obtained an old dell laptop and want to hook it up the internet but it doesn't have the standard connection that the new ones do. it's a dell latitude CPi, not sure how old it is. as far as the online manual goes it doesn't reallyt say how to connect it to the internet but I think I have to use the serial port. in the meatime, I can't find any cables or adapters that will connect the unit. any help would be appreciated.

You can buy a serial port external modem. Here is one from Creative



By the way the price listed there is a bit much… you can probably find it cheaper
