O23 - Service: Mouse Hardware Sync (mousehs) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\System32\mousehs.exe

Then click "Fix checked and close Hijack This!.

Now, please go to:

Start –> Run

In the box type in services.msc then hit < Enter > (or click OK)

In the Name column for:

Mouse Hardware Sync (mousehs)

In the dialogue box that pops up, check in the Path to executable box.

It should say: C:\WINDOWS\System32\mousehs.exe

That's how to be sure you have the right one.

Now, click Stop to stop that rogue process.

In the Startup type box, change it to Disabled.

Click Apply then OK

Close the services.msc window.

One of the baddies has returned….. <_<

Let's try a slightly different approach this time.

Boot in "safe" mode FIRST.

CLOSE ALL WINDOWS (even this one) AND PROGRAMS!!!!

Run Hijack This!
Click "Do a systen scan only".
Then "check" the box to the left of these item(s):

F2 - REG:system.ini: UserInit=userinit.exe,xpjava.exe

Then click "Fix checked and close Hijack This!.

Reboot in "safe" mode.

Delete all of these noted file(s)/FOLDER(s) you can find:

c:\windows\system32\xpjava.exe <— file

Some malware files may be "hidden".
Be sure to show hidden files when looking for these file(s) and/or folder(s).

Reboot in normal mode and "copy/paste" a new log file into this thread. :)

I have another question each time i scan my computer with spy sweeper, it display me 2 trojan n 9 ad ware then i delete it in this program n i rescan my computer it display the same trojan and adware
The log looks great now.

Let's try this to get rid of the things you say keep "returning" after running Spysweeper.

Get Spybot - Search & Destroy from Spybot Search and Destroy
(This is the NEW Version 1.4)
Get AdAware SE Personal from Lavasoft
(This is the NEW Build 1.6)

Download and install these programs if you don't already have them. If you do have them, make sure they are UPDATED AND CONFIGURED AS DESCRIBED here:

Configure Adaware

Configure Spybot

Reboot after running each program.

Then run Spysweeper, and reboot.

Then immeadiately run Spysweeper once again, and post the "full path names" (i.e. "C:\Windows\trojan.exe") of anything Spysweeper finds the 2nd time.
:)

Just tell me what Spysweeper says it finds.

I need the "full path" file names in order to take any kind of action.

You might be getting some "false positives" from Spysweeper.

Unless you're actually getting redirected to unwanted web pages, you really don't have a problem. Looks kike the remnant of a "search-control" hijack may be present, but not active.

If you really want to investigate further, please do this:

Click here to download and install Registrar Lite.

Run Registrar Lite.

Paste the BOLD text below into Reglite's address bar, and hit Go:

HKEY_USERS\WRSS_PROFILE_S-1-5-21-1993962763-706699826-725345543-1003\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\\

In the window on the right side of the screen, on these registry keys, and post the data contained in the 'Value' box:

searchurl

default_searchurl

search page

search bar

searchassistant

customizesearch

:)
That's exactly what I wanted.

Fortunately for you, those are all valid entries and NOT hijacks of any sort.

You'll either have to find out how to get Spysweeper to ignore those, or just live with it.

It's just a "false positive" by Spysweeper.

Items you may wish to consider to harden your defenses against future infections:

Read "How did I get infected in the first place?"

Download/install IE-Spyad

IE-Spyad puts over 4000 known malicious web sites into IE's "restricted zone" to help prevent you from getting infected.

Check your browser settings at Qualsys.com

A series of "tests" (and suggested fixes) to help tweak IE's settings to help prevent infections when surfing the web.

Follow safe Internet practices:

1. Keep your virus definitions up to date, and scan your system regularly.

2. Don't open email, or download attachments from unrecognized email addresses.

3. Be careful when downloading email attachments, EVEN FROM PEOPLE YOU KNOW! Many virii, worms, and trojans infect a persons system then immeadiately spread themselves to the people in the infected persons addressbook via email attachments.

4. Be careful downloading files from the Internet. Scan all downloaded files with a reliable UP-TO-DATE antivirus program. Scan "zip" files BEFORE unzipping, and scan all unzipped files BEFORE USING THEM.

5. Keep your Windows and IE current with all the latest patches and updates.
