I have scanned the computer with Spybot, Ad-Aware according to instructions, also ran TrendMicro´s online scan. Looked like it fixed my problems, they all show the computer is "clean", but there is still something strange. For example: after reboot the time settings are changed (shows several hours less than it should) and during surfing the net (with Mozilla mostly) I start to get pop-up warnings from Spybot. Here are some samples::

25/06/2005 12:16:31 Denied value "Search Bar" (new data: "http://www.aoaviyjvizkifftj.info/pyCOqr3oN0Sw_mNnzx4tN5XL5EqGQuP8dEzZQhmg5ebpDTF7gI8hRJFwaTo_QBPi.htm") changed in Browser page!
25/06/2005 12:17:15 Denied value "Search Bar" (new data: "http://www.ripqxtfforkkgd.com/pyCOqr3oN0Sw_mNnzx4tN5XL5EqGQuP8dEzZQhmg5eYsjQ5b8rlxdpFwaTo_QBPi.jpg") changed in Browser page!
25/06/2005 12:18:06 Denied value "Search Bar" (new data: "http://www.xfoppbbvyptziqfrrwd.net/pyCOqr3oN0Sw_mNnzx4tN5XL5EqGQuP8dEzZQhmg5eYlZ2oZTaVF2pFwaTo_QBPi.jpg") changed in Browser page!

I suspect, there is leftover from lop, just stuck now with next step. We have two profiles on this computer and only mine has the trouble. Can you please help?

(sorry for the bad English)

Br,
Krisztina
Hello Krisz.ta, Welcome to the forum.

This is what I suggest you do.

Download CWShredder from my signature below. Unzip it on the desktop.
Open CWShredder and with ALL other windows closed, click fix.

Go here and run at least one of the online scans, allow them to delete whatever they find:

TrendMicro HouseCall
eTrust AntiVirus Web Scanner
Panda ActiveScan
Note any thing that can't be fixed
Reboot when done.

Next:

Even if you've already run these, make SURE they're up-to-date and run per instructions.

Make sure you have the up-to-date versions of Spybot V 1.4 and Ad-aware SE Build 1.06 . All are free and available below.

Download Spybot, install and update. Then download Ad-aware, install, and update.

Spybot:

Install the program and launch it.

Go to Start > Programs >Spybot > Search & Destroy and choose Spybot S&D

Close ALL windows except Spybot S&D
Click the button to "Search for Updates" and download and install the Updates.
Next click the button "Check for Problems"
When Spybot is complete, it will be showing "RED" (RED) entries "BLACK" entries and "GREEN" (GREEN) entries in the window
Put a check mark beside the RED (RED) entries ONLY.
Choose "Fix Selected Problems" and allow Spybot to fix the RED (RED) entries.

Ad-Aware FULL SCAN:

Install the program and launch it.

First in the main window look in the bottom right corner and click on Check for updates now then click Connect and download the latest reference files.

From main window :Click Start then under Select a scan Mode check Perform full system scan.
Next deselect Search for negligible risk entries.
Now to scan just click the Next button.

When the scan is finished mark everything for removal and get rid of it.(Right-click the window and choose select all from the drop down menu and click Next)

Empty Recycle Bin

Reboot and "copy/paste" a new log file into this thread.
Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.
Hello,

thank you so much!!!
I have done all the steps, the results:

CWShredder: didn't find anything

E-trust

found this:
su27fly.zip>SU27FLY.EXE Phantom 1 infected, no cure
F:\Juha\jui´s documents\CD\patches\

This file haven´t been unzipped/run ever. Old stuff, which couldn´t be removed by E-trust, so still on computer.

HouseCall: nothing found
Spybot: nothing
Ad-aware: what it found was cleaned

My problems:
-IE has a strange search bar on bottom of the page: mysearch now (probably got it with MSN plus :( all together with LOP, which I could (partly?) clean away with Housecall online scan 2 days ago.)
-Spybot warning (every minute :()
category: Browser page
Change: Value changed
Entry: search bar
old data: http://www.dibkwvxlbrrw.us/pyCOqr3oNOSw…..
new data: http://www.gprqwbfpwxmzxarspt.com/pyCOqr3…..

These strange looking webpages are always different. (I have posted other samples above)

-During surfing the net, I get nasty popups
-Turning on the computer in the morning, the clock is every time 4-5 hours behind. No idea what makes this. With simple reboot its not happening, just by night.

I really appreciate your help!
Kriszta
We need to disable TeaTimer until clean.

1) Run Spybot-S&D
2) Go to the Mode menu, and make sure "Advanced Mode" is selected
3) On the left hand side, choose Tools -> Resident
4) Uncheck "Resident TeaTimer" and OK any prompts
5) Restart your computer.

You have a Lop.com infection. To remove it follow the instructions below.

For Windows 2000/XP users
Click Start Select Control Panel
double click Add/Remove Programs
look for any of the following, and uninstall them:
Window Search
Window Searching
Lop.com
LOP SEARCH
Browser Enhancer
Ultimate Browser Enhancer
IMPORTANT!!!

You may find entries similair to the above but with Weird spacing in the names.
They are Lop.com, uninstall them.

If it is not listed in Add/Remove Programs, or if the uninstall does not
seem to work go here:
http://lop.com/new_uninstall.exe
download and run this uninstaller. Reboot when done.

Before restart, Empty Recycle Bin.

Restart your computer.

Reboot and "copy/paste" a new log file into this thread.
Thank you for yor help. Looks promising :)

Important: Do this before any fix.

You need to update your version of HijackThis. Open HJT> Open Misc Tools> Pull the side bar down> Check for update online. If that doesn't work, download it from my signature and remove the hijackThis.exe you have now.

Also please put your HijackThis in it's own folder, (I create a new folder in C:\ named HJT).
You can do a Right Click on any open area on the desktop, New> Folder, then rename the folder HJT.

Go to where your HijackThis is and Right Click on HijackThis.exe, select Cut, then open the new folder you just created (HJT) Right Click in the folder and select paste.

After the above:

I suggest you do this:

To disable SpySweeper:

Open it click >Options over to the left then >program options >Uncheck "load at windows startup".
Over to the left click "shields" and uncheck all there.
Uncheck "home page shield".

If you dont have these three programs I would recommend that you get them. Spywareblaster, Spywareguard and IESPY AD. They will add 1000's of sites to your resticted zone and block some hijacks from happening. I also have a FREE FIREWALL and FREE ANTI VIRUS if you need one.

It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system.

Keep your system up to date and run Adaware & Spybot, once a week works, and hopefully you will be ok from here on. Both are available below.

Safe Surfing. :D
Great job

You're more then welcome.
Glad we were able to help

Peace be with you :wavey:
