Sirs,
My computer is infected with some kind of malware that was
first noticed with the dialup connection. Isp ph # which is
displayed keeps changing to some combination of numbers and letters.
Antivirus can't be updated. Update efforts return a message that
it is current. It isn't! Ran Trend Micro house call and it never
completed. Ad-Aware SE and Spybot say it is clean. I disabled a
startup item, usbn in sysconfig and it hasn't reappeared since.
In the registry, HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\
InternetSettings\P3P\History, there are many entries that suggest
sites that you wouldn't want to visit.

I would appreciate any help-suggestions you might provide.

HJT log follows.

Regards

Hello jbird, welcome to the forum. Sorry about the delay in responding :( If you still need help, Scan again with HijackThis, and copy/paste" a new log file into this thread.
LDTate,
Below is a new HJT log. With some home help we discovered this bug was a Trojan Downloader.Win32.Small afa. (I think the dots are right) Everything seems to be working ok. Would appreciate you checking the log out for me. There were some usb entries in system startup that are missing due to a problem I had with the hidden "accept-deny" selections of Tea Time. Wouild like some help on this if this is the right place.
Your help is appreciated.
Regards
