So I was surfing the interwebs and suddenly I got bombarded by some antivirus thing that kept coming like one of those windows popups saying that I was infected and so on and so fourth. I didnt install or pay for their program. Ran avg, spybot, and malwarebytes software and it removed somethings but apparently not all as they're still popping up

Heres my log

Hello karamazov

If you have an active internet connection, copy/paste the links below into your browser, don't click them or the rogue might redirect. If you don't have an active internet connection, download the tools from another machine, and transfer them to the affected machine via USB flash drive.

There are 4 different versions. If one of them won't run then download and try to run the other one. You only need to get one of them to run, not all of them.

Vista and Win7 users need to right click and choose Run as Admin

http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/grinler/rkill.exe
http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/grinler/rkill.com
http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/grinler/rkill.scr
http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/grinler/rkill.pif

Note: You will likely see a message from this rogue telling you the file is infected. Ignore the message. Leave the message OPEN, do not close the message. Run rkill repeatedly until it's able to do it's job. This may take a few tries. You'll be able to tell rkill has done it's job when your desktop (explorer.exe) cycles off and then on again.

Once the tool has run, do NOT reboot the machine
If for some reason the machine reboots, repeat the process. Again, try not to restart the machine.

:run combofix:

Please visit this webpage for download links, and instructions for running the tool:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix

Please ensure you read this guide carefully and install the Recovery Console first.

The Windows Recovery Console will allow you to boot up into a special recovery (repair) mode.
This allows us to more easily help you should your computer have a problem after an attempted removal of malware.
It is a simple procedure that will only take a few moments of your time.

Once installed, you should see a blue screen prompt that says:

The Recovery Console was successfully installed.
Please continue as follows:

  • Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.
  • Click Yes to allow ComboFix to continue scanning for malware.

When the tool is finished, it will produce a report for you.

Please include the report in your next post:

C:\ComboFix.txt

"information and logs"

  • In your next post I need the following

  • log from combofix
  • let me know of any problems you may have had
  • How is the computer doing now?

  • please copy and past the following into the box
C:\Qoobox\Add-Remove Programs.txt
  • click ok
  • copy and paste the report into this topic for me to review

:Run CFScript:

Open Notepad and copy/paste the text in the box into the window:

uInternet Settings,ProxyOverride =

Save it to your desktop as CFScript.txt

Refering to the picture above, drag CFScript.txt into ComboFix.exe
[external image: Posted Image]
This will let ComboFix run again.
Restart if you have to.
Save the produced logfile to your desktop.

Hello karamazov

Please print out these instructions, or copy them to a Notepad file. It will make it easier for you to follow the instructions and complete all of the necessary steps..

:P2P Warning!:

IMPORTANT I notice there are signs of one or more P2P (Person to Person) File Sharing Programs on your computer.

LimeWire 5.1.4

Please note that as long as you are using any form of Peer-to-Peer networking and downloading files from non-documented sources, you can expect infestations of malware to occur
Once upon a time, P2P file sharing was fairly safe. That is no longer true. please keep in mind that this practice may be the source of your current malware infestation

I'd like you to read the Guidelines for P2P Programs where we explain why it's not a good idea to have them.

Please read these short reports on the dangers of peer-2-peer programs and file sharing.

Cyber Education Letter
File sharing infects 500,000 computers
USAToday

If you continue to use P2P programs, we see no purpose in cleaning your machine as it is pretty much certain that, if you continue to use them, your computer will get infected again.

1. click on start
2. then go to settings
3. after that you need control panel

Update Adobe Reader

Recently there have been vunerabilities detected in older versions of Adobe Reader. It is strongly suggested that you update to the current version.

You can download it from http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
After installing the latest Adobe Reader, uninstall all previous versions.
If you already have Adobe Photoshop® Album Starter Edition installed or do not wish to have it installed UNcheck the box which says Also Download Adobe Photoshop® Album Starter Edition.

If you don't like Adobe Reader (33.5 MB), you can download Foxit PDF Reader(3.5MB) from here. It's a much smaller file to download and uses a lot less resources than Adobe Reader.

Note: When installing FoxitReader, be carefull not to install anything to do with AskBar.

Your Java is out of date.

I appreciate the speedy response. I will be following these instructions shortly but because I had to move out of my home very suddenly and into a new one I havnt been able to arrange for Internet service yet. I'm using my iPhones 3G to type this mesage in fact. Just letting you know.
ok No problem thanks for letting me know if you need more than three days than please come back here and let me know gringo
Appreciate your patience sir. I just not was able to get the interwebs hooked up at my new house. Some issues with shipping equipment haha. In any case I should be on this shortly!
I was able to do the steps until java came around. the new version wouldnt install. Which prevented me from running kaspersky. But as far the rest went it went well. mbam didnt find anything, and the other program deleted 204mb of stuff.
