Greetings and welcome to TomCoyote.org!

CLOSE ALL WINDOWS (even this one) AND PROGRAMS!!!!

Run Hijack This!
Click "Scan".
Then "check" the box to the left of these item(s):

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = C:\DOCUME~1\MVessell\LOCALS~1\Temp\\xx.html

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [strmsgms] aimstats.exe

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [checkrun] C:\windows\system32\elitewob32.exe

O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [strmsgms] aimstats.exe

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [strmsgms] aimstats.exe

Check these if not recognized as "friendly":

O15 - Trusted Zone: http://*.daumcommercial.com

O15 - Trusted Zone: http://*.gvadaum.com

Then click "Fix checked".

Reboot in "safe" mode.

Find and delete:

aimstats.exe <— file
(use windows explorer to find)

c:\windows\system32\elitewob32.exe <— file

Some malware files may be "hidden".
Be sure to show hidden files when looking for these file(s) and/or folder(s).

Reboot in normal mode and "copy/paste" a new log file into this thread. :)

Have a Happy Holiday weekend :)
Log looks good!

I'm assuming since I don't see anything, and you didn't mention any continuing problems, that that your problem is solved.

I see "Viewpoint Manager" in the log. Some people consider "Viewpoint Manager" as "spyware". Read a bit about it here:

Viewpoint Manager

You can disable it from accessing the net as described in that link. Or use "Add/Remove Programs" to take it off entirely. That's for you to decide.

I usually wait a while before closing out topics. If you still have a problem, please post back again with specifics.

This is my virgin post with you guys on here so we will see how well you perform

I pray that the forums here have performed to your satisfaction and that you will visit us again if necessary.

Happy holiday and GOD bless!
