:( Does anyone know what has happened to the Net-Integration forum? Every time I attempted to connect today -- all I can get is a "timed-out" alert. What's Up?

Folks there's a sticky above this thread saying that Net=integration has been cracked! I received three emails yesterday and I stupidly almost downloaded a virus.

WTF :rant2: :rant2: :rant2:

Access attempts to the Net-Integration forum URL currently result in a redirect to the following message:

"...This Account Has Been Temporarily Suspended for Security Purposes. It appears the Net-Integration domain was spoofed by spambots.
Net-Integration is not sending out any viruses or email messages and has been disabled since this morning. The source of the spam is still uncertain but it is being researched and pursued. Please forgive the inconvenience while this is addressed
."

...and if I know Eagle1 like I do, he is FUMING :rant2: , and is extending every effort to resolve the problem ASAP.

" Net-Integration is not sending any spam but only appears to be doing so. The net-integration domain account account was disabled for the majority of the day while the source of the spamming was sought. The ISP... that is hosting malware was notified several hours ago and they have not done anything about it so far. Logs are being reviewed to determine if source can be identified. Will keep posted."

"A batch file has been put together by Atribune ( http://www.atribune.org ) for anyone needing to cleanup the malware from email being sent out. Please note that if you did not open or download attachment you were not infected and it is not necessary to clean.
Download the attached zip file to local folder, unzip it and save it to a location you can remember. Reboot in safe mode and run the fixit.bat file by double clicking or using command prompt.
Reboot to normal mode. Also note it may be necessary to reinstall any of the following: Far, Total Commander, Windows Commander, ICQ, The Bat, Trillian, Miranda.
We thank Atribune very much for his efforts. Please be sure to give thanks as well."

(Batch file/zip is available at the URL above.)

Cool.. thanks - apparently I only need to resinstall Trillian so that's not bad. After scanning and finding the threats, I just deleted them. Do I still need the above mentioned?

Thanks
