Hi! I work from home and have to use a program for work each day.For some reason I keep getting this error msg on Internet explorere when I try to use the program I need for work.Instead of my sign in screen as usual I get this screen on IE it's red at the top and the rest of the page is blue.I have copied and pasted the error msg below.I have followed all the suggestions in the error msg to no avail. The only way i get my program to work is to restore my pc to an earlier date when the program last worked.not sure why this is happening can you help me please? error message. You must enable "ActiveX controls and plug-ins" and you must answer "Yes" to the Security Warning that asks "Do you want to install and run ePowerCenter Client Components ... distributed by Astute Solutions" for ePowerCenter to function properly! Procedure to enable "ActiveX controls and plug-ins": Double-click the security indicator on the lower right portion of this Internet Explorer window (it should say "Local intranet") Perform one of the following: EITHER Click the "Default Level" button (which will set it to "Medium-low") OR Change the "Security level for this zone" to "Medium" OR Change the Custom settings for the Local intranet zone, by: Click the "Custom level" button Scroll the Settings listing until you see the "ActiveX controls and plug-ins" setting (close to the top of the list of settings) Select the "Prompt" option for the "Download signed ActiveX controls" setting Select the "Enable" option for the "Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins" setting Select the "Enable" option for the "Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting" setting Press the "Enter" key or click the "OK" button to make the change Press the "Enter" key or click the "OK" button to make the changes Press the "F5" key or click the "Refresh" toolbar button Click the "Yes" button if prompted with a "Security Warning" asking to install and run "ePowerCenter Client Components"

Please follow the instructions in this post as we need to know what Windows operating system and version of Internet Explorer you are using.

Also, was this a program you installed from a CD or floppy disc or did you just download the ActiveX control from the site you log into?

Hi! I have Windows XP and IE 6.0 the program I use for work was downloaded from my works website.

First, create a new folder on your desktop with a memorable name such as 'HijackThis'. Next, download HijackThis and unzip it to the new folder you just created.
Next, run HijackThis and click Do a system scan and save a logfile.
When the file opens, copy the entire contents as a reply to this thread.
Everyone gets specific instructions, disregard what you don't need.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you.
You are infected with malware.
Post a fresh log in the HijackThis help forum. After you are cleaned up post back here if you are still having problems.
