Having some proplems.

Did you reboot the computer after you used the Killbox? If so, then try what I posted last, Killbox it again to see what happens.

Let's try to remove the line with HJT, it acts like something is stopping the fix so we will try it in safe mode:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/tutorial61.html

Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://g.msn.com/0SEENUS/SAOS01
R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [jmow] C:\WINDOWS\System32\jmow.exe
O15 - Trusted Zone: http://www.neededware.com

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

Post a new log. If that doesn't do it, I will sleep on it and hope for fresh ideas.

Thanks…Phil
OK I think it worked, New log:

Hello asiammyself, The trojan appears to be gone, good job. A couple of items:

1) A few of the items like R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing and the 015 "trusted zone" should have removed very easily. I was wondering what you changed to get rid of them this time…I really expected no issues with those and I was surprised when you could not remove them. You feedback may help me help others.

2) What do you believe worked, when all of the other times failed, when it came to the removal of this trojan: C:\WINDOWS\System32\jmow.exe

3) You are running selective startup in MSCONFIG. I can not see if you have anything disabled that is malware. You know what you have disabled, if you are sure those programs are safe I will accept that. If you are not sure, then enable all, scan and save a log, then return to disabled, no need to reboot.

4) Since your log is clean I wish for you to have this information now as it will help you remain clean and safe online, here is some great information from Tony Klein, Texruss, ChrisRLG and Grinler to help you stay clean and safe online:

5) If you would provide this information in 1 and 2 and either assure me you are happy with what is disabled in MSCONFIG or post a log with everything enabled for a check. I appreciate all of your work and your efforts in following complex directions. Safe surfing…Phil :wavey:

(1) Just removed with HJT was not in safe mode.

(2) I think going into safe-mode did it and then removing with killbot.

(3) Not sure. So I click enable all in start-up tab and scan? If so here is the log:

(4) Thanks for the helpful links.

(5) thank you for all your help. :wavey:
I am sorry asiammyself, :( but either you were hiding something or another infection got onboard but we have more work to do.

1) I suggest you look in the links I provided for information about how to stop this junk from getting on your computer.

2) Here is a list of stuff that needs to be removed, so you will be aware of what we are after:

read this: http://castlecops.com/s6126-Windows_AdControl.html
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Windows AdControl] C:\Program Files\Windows AdControl\WinAdCtl.exe

Unless you know the next item, it's a trojan
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [vsgih] C:\WINDOWS\irwuftj.exe

next item is: QuickBrowser/Top-banners.com adware
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QBRSR] C:\WINDOWS\QuickBrowser.exe

Bad…might be where all your stuff is coming from:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [P2P Networking6] C:\WINDOWS\System32\P2P Networking\P2P Networking6.exe /AUTOSTART

bad virus: W32.Blaster.C.Worm
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Microsoft Inet Xp..] teekids.exe

Do you know this one? If not it is probably a trojanO4 - HKLM\..\Run: [dvq] C:\WINDOWS\System32\dvq.exe

probably how the infection came in…
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [BEi] C:\documents and settings\joe.your-o0kwkw9jwc\local settings\temp\BEi.exe

Do you know what this is??
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AIMWDInstallFilename] C:\PROGRA~1\AIM\AIMWDI~1.EXE

read this: http://castlecops.com/startuplist-180.html
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AlcxMonitor] ALCXMNTR.EXE

registration reminder…just clutter
O4 - Startup: PowerReg Scheduler.exe

Not going to kid you, we have our work cut out for us. My feeling is that this is a new infection. :( One bad trojan opens the way for others and as you can see none of this stuff was in the log we were working. As I said, the info from the experts wil show you how to close the ways this stuff gets in. I am willing to work with you until this is clean if you wish to do so. If so, here is how we will proceed:

1) You have version of the Blaster worm, we will try the removal tool and hope it works.
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcen…moval.tool.html

***this worm should not be able to get by the Microsoft patch. I suggest you make sure all critical updates are on your computer.

2) I wish to use Ewido security suites again. You are familiar with the proceedure now, and here is the link: http://www.ewido.net/en/download/ Here are the instuctions if you do not have the printed:
Please download, install, update and scan your system with the free version of Ewido trojan scanner:
  1. When installing, under "Additional Options" uncheck "Install background guard" and "Install scan via context menu".
  2. When you run ewido for the first time, you will get a warning "Database could not be found!". Click OK. We will fix this in a moment.
  3. From the main ewido screen, click on update in the left menu, then click the Start update button.
  4. After the update finishes (the status bar at the bottom will display "Update successful"), click on the Scanner button in the left menu, then click on the Start button. This scan can take quite a while to run, so time to go get a drink and a snack….
  5. If ewido finds anything, it will pop up a notification. You can select "clean" and check the boxes "Perform action with all infections" and "Create encrypted backup" before clicking on OK.
  6. When the scan finishes, click on "Save Report". This will create a text file. Please then paste the contents of the text file to this thread
  7. *** make sure you select "clean" when the scan finds bad stuff.

    3) You have several bad infections and you would be better served if you were to use the most recent versions of Ad-aware and Spybot as they can get to places HJT cannot. Please use this link: http://tomcoyote.org/aawsb.php to download, update, configure and run these two "big guns" and allow them to remove anything bad they locate. Both programs provide backups for your safety. ***note: please do not activate Spybot TeaTimer until your computer is clean. Run Spybot first and reboot between the scans. It is good to run both programs at least twice, and run the "Full System Scan".

    4) You have http://www.windowsecurity.com/trojanscan and http://www.bitdefender.com/scan I would run both of those scans having them remove anything they locate, and you might want to check with Norton to find out if you should reinstall their software. Seems they should be stopping some of this stuff? Your AV might have been compromised.

    5) When you get to this point post a new HijackThis log and I suggest you enable all in MSCONFIG until we get the computer cleaned up.
Along with the new log give me any feedback you think will help, and do ask questions as they occur to you.

    Thanks…Phil
Ah nothing seems to update I cant update windows says i have a problem with my internet? Cant update adaware, spybot, Mcafee, etc. Says im not connected to the internet? I think it could be a virus or spyware stping the updates. Internet goes out every 30 mins. If I restart its goes out again in 30mins. <_<

I scaned with Microsoft anitispyware found 10 things deleted. Spybot didnt find anything I think because it cant update same with adaware etc. Microsoft aniti can not update too. :( Edit: cant view secure pages also. Cant switch to firefox says im not connected to the internet.
My first instruction was this:

1) You have version of the Blaster worm, we will try the removal tool and hope it works.
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcen…moval.tool.html

Here are manual instruction if you can't remove it with the Symantec tool.
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcen…ter.c.worm.html

You must remove this worm from your computer as it is probably causing most of your issues. I post the numbers so you will know what to do first. Please do this.

Here is the item: O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Microsoft Inet Xp..] teekids.exe and it is still in this new log. Once it is removed then move to number 2.

Please make sure you are not running two antivirus programs at the same time, if you are turn one off or uninstall it.

I can not do this for you, I can only supply the tools. Turn of McAfee or uninstall it as the tools we are using are Symantec and the manual removal instuctions if you have to go to that is Symantec.

Thanks.
asiammyself, If you are having trouble downloading the tool to remove Blaster. Take a floppy disk to a computer this is not infected and download the tool to the floppy. Then take the floppy back to your computer and execute the tool. Good luck.
Ok I dont see it in this nw log after running that tool.

1) I can't see everying running on your computer when you are running Selective Startup: O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [MSConfig] C:\WINDOWS\PCHealth\HelpCtr\Binaries\MSConfig.exe /auto
Please stop using Selective Startup untill this fix is finished.

2) We must get over the issues of having two antivirus programs running at the same time. You are less safe than with one good program maintained properly. Please address this issue:

c:\PROGRA~1\mcafee.com\vso\mcvsrte.exe
c:\Program Files\Norton AntiVirus\navapsvc.exe

Look at the service, the 023 numbers to see both programs running.

3) Please try to complete each instruction before posting or at least tell me why you could not complete it.

4) Post a new log once these issues have been addressed. Thanks.

How do I get out of it Or change it? What should it be? Safe mode?
Click on Start, then Run. In the Open box type "msconfig" without the quotes. When the System Configuration Utility opens, under the words Startup Selection you have three choices. Choose the first one "Normal Startup", then click on Apply and OK. Reboot the computer and post a new log. Once we are finished cleaning out this mess you may return to the third choice which is Selective Startup. This link will explain how to use this selection: http://netsquirrel.com/msconfig/

Thanks for your question…Phil
