I get popups from (getfound.com,traficmp or somthing like that and various others) please help me get rid of this Stuff!
I have used spybot search and destroy,Ad-Aware SE Personal,microsoft anti spyware,Norton systemworks,google toolbar, but I still get these good ole popups!

Step 1
Open HijackThis, run a scan, then check the following:

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [bodycake] C:\DOCUME~1\BLACKB~1\APPLIC~1\CASTRE~1\ford sect dale.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\RunServices: [Services Logon] C:\Documents and Settings\BLACKBART\Templates\services.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\RunServicesOnce: [Services Logon] C:\Documents and Settings\BLACKBART\Templates\services.exe

Optional items to check with HijackThis.
Fix this item if you or a sytem administrator did not set this restriction or a program such as Spybot S&D wasn't used to set it.
O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel present

With all other programs and browsers closed, click fix checked.


Step 2
Please set your computer to show all files.
  • Double-click My Computer.
  • Click the Tools menu, and then click Folder Options.
  • Click the View tab.
  • Clear "Hide file extensions for known file types."
  • Under the "Hidden files" folder, select "Show hidden files and folders."
  • Clear "Hide protected operating system files."
  • Click Apply, and then click OK.
You will need to reverse this process when all steps are done.


Step 3
Please delete the following files/folders:

C:\Documents and Settings\BLACKBART\Templates\services.exe << file only

C:\DOCUMENT AND SETTINGS\BLACKBART\APPLICATION DATA\CASTRE~1 << Whole folder with name beginning with CASTRE.

If you have any problem deleting these files, reboot into Safe Mode (tap F8 during bootup, use arrow keys to select Safe Mode, then hit 'enter') and try again.


Step 4
Run at least two of the following online virus scans making sure to reboot in between each one. Allow them to fix anything they find.You need to use Internet Explorer or Netscape browsers.
Bitdefender
Pandasoftware
Trend Micro << Click Auto Clean
Symantec Security Check << click scan for viruses
RAV Online Virus Scanner << Enter your e-mail address and click on To continue without subscribing
McAfee
Write down anything that can not be fixed. Include the file name and the path to the file.


Step 5
Reboot normally and scan with HijackThis. Post the new log as a reply to this thread. Include anything that can not be fixed by the online scans.
Please let us know of any complications you had and how the computer is behaving.

Your new log appears clean. Let me know how the computer is behaving after do the following steps.


Step 1
Download CCleaner from here to clean temp files from your computer.
  • Double click on the file to start the installation of the program.
  • Select your language and click OK, then next.
  • Read the license agreement and click I Agree.
  • Click next to use the default install location. Click Install then finish to complete installation.
  • Double click the CCleaner shortcut on the desktop to start the program.
  • Click Run Cleaner to run the program.
  • Caution : It is not recommended to use the 'Issues' tab as it is known to find legitimate items.
  • After it has completed it's process, click Exit.
Step 2
Please set your computer to show all files.
  • Double-click My Computer.
  • Click the Tools menu, and then click Folder Options.
  • Click the View tab.
  • Clear "Hide file extensions for known file types."
  • Under the "Hidden files" folder, select "Show hidden files and folders."
  • Clear "Hide protected operating system files."
  • Click Apply, and then click OK.
You will need to reverse this process when all steps are done.


Step 3
Please delete the following files/folders:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Sixthpingvc16 << Whole Folder
C:\DownLoads\n7s << Whole Folder

C:\DownLoads\Hack Steam Account.rar << File Only
C:\DownLoads\N7s JO D3D Hack 0.5.zip << File Only

If you have any problem deleting these files, reboot into Safe Mode (tap F8 during bootup, use arrow keys to select Safe Mode, then hit 'enter') and try again.


Step 4
Reboot normally and scan with HijackThis. Post the new log as a reply to this thread.

I have done all that you told me to do and so far it has went well!
My PC seems to be a lil quicker now that I have done this,no more popups (YES)!!!

Is NORTON antivirus not good because it never detected any of this stuff?

Do I need to reinstall all of my anti virus ,anti spyware , anti popups programs?

Norton Antivirus is designed more to find and eliminate virus/worms not for malware. This is why it is essential to have alternate programs to scan for malware.

As long as you are having no problems with them there should be no need to reinstall any of these.

Its just crazy how much stuff we have to run to be safe these days!!!

I agree that it is ridiculous that we are forced to use so many programs to help protect the computer just because a few people want to force ads on us, try to steal information from our computers or worse, try to make the computers unusable.


Reset and Re-enable your System Restore to remove bad files that have been backed up by Windows. The files in System Restore are protected to prevent any programs changing those files. This is the only way to clean these files: (You will lose all previous restore points which are likely to be infected.)

1. Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
2. On the System Restore tab, put a check mark in the 'Turn Off System Restore' check box.
3. Click OK twice, and then click Yes when you are prompted to restart the computer.
4. Repeat steps 1 - 2, this time clearing the box beside 'Turn Off System Restore'


I suggest that you get these programs to help keep the computer clean:

Spyware Blaster - Blocks bad ActiveX items from installing on your computer. Spyware Blaster runs silently in the background.
SpywareGuard - Real-time protection from spyware installation attempts
ie-spyad - Puts over 8,000 bad URLs into your restricted sites for Internet Explorer.
Google Toolbar - Blocks many unwanted pop-ups in Internet Explorer.
Firefox - 'Safer' alternative to the Internet Explorer web browser.

Here are three very good and free malware scanners:

Spybot Search and Destroy 1.3
AdAware SE v1.05
Set-up Instructions for Spybot S&D and Adaware SE
a² Free Trojan Remover

If you have them already, check to make sure that they are the newest version.

Update these regularly.

Be sure to keep Windows and your Anti-virus updated.
