doing this for a friend. he has a cp with windows 95 and dial up (36 k modem, i believe, high speed not available for a few more weeks) that connects great, but slow. he purchased another cp windows 98se v90 56k modem. when hooked up it will not connect to internet, error 630, that says, "ensure modem is installed and turned on" all drivers are up to date. he took cp to repair shop and everything is working perfect, tried back home and gets same error, but yet his old cp will work. same phone cable is used on both pc's. any suggestions/ thanks

tried this cp in all other jacks in house and still doesn't work, but old cp does. will work at friends house, but not mine someone please help
