I am currently working on a friends computer that has the most infections that I have seen. Adaware found 2800+ infections, and trend micro found 37 trojans including wild tangent, myway, websearch, bullseye, mksc.exe, tvm.exe, whsurvey plus many more. My recommendation was to re-install a clean installation of WinXP Home. It seems the time and effort to remove the spyware and trojans would be time consuming and probably not fullproof. Does this seem like the best recourse?? thanks Scott
 Hi Nailhunter, I am a new member as well and I just had to respond because I am on my 4th day of doing just what you are thinking about doing. I am ready to pull my hair out because there are so many in the computer that I am working on that I've made the decision to just re-install. The amount of virus's, Trojans and parasites she has in her system is so bad that many of her files are damaged. Like you said, the time to get all of them out and it probably not being full proof just isn't worth it. Just wanted to express my non-expert opinion. LOL. Good luck!
Scott-

I cant reccomend YES because depending on the situation, friend may want to keep some of/ have important data on/ there. Those are fixable however and if you'll post a Hijack This log in the "Hijack this logs and problems" forum we can check it out for you.
