Trojan + Adware Removal

Hello,
I have been struggling the past 3 days on getting rid of viruses and adware and more viruses that were subsequently loaded when going to the internet (I am on a different PC now).
NAV found Trojan.dropper, Download.trojan, W32.Korgo.V and claims to have removed them.
I ran Spybot and removed everything it found.
However I am still getting spyware/adware popups, usually it is repcale.exe error messages. I also had 180search and I used its uninstaller to get rid of it.
I also removed some .exe files that looked suspicious while browsing Task Manager.
I just now found this forum. I booted XP in safe mode, loaded HijackThis and ran a scan. Here is the log. Thanks in advance for any help on what to do.

Please download and run CWShredder. Make sure that all browser windows are closed with the exception of Cwshredder and choose FIX.

Please download and run Spybot Search & Destroy and AdAware. Then follow the instructions in the links below to run.

Please do an online scan,

Trend Micro http://housecall.trendmicro.com/housecall/start_corp.asp

Make sure that you choose "fix" or "clean".

Reboot and post a new HiJackThis log.

Thanks for the reply.
I followed your instructions, altho I was unclear on whether to do all this in safe mode or not. So first I ran them in safe mode, and then went to standard mode, connected to the web did the housecall, and then I retrieved the updates to CWShredder, SpyBot and Ad-Aware and did it all steps over again. I still get the repcale.exe error messages, for this session 5 popped up when I logged into my user on XP. And an ad just popped up…

Please boot to safe mode then scan with hijackthis an put a check beside these lines and choose FIX

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I did not find any svdll32.exe files anymore, but I did find one called SVDLL32.EXE-03D57705.pf so I put it in the recycle bin. Upon confirmation from you I will empty the Recycle Bin.

Hmm, I thought all was well until I tried one final thing… First: I logged into my login and all looked great. No adware, no unintended IE windows, no repcale.exe error messages. I tried to go to a few secure sites I regularly use. One is work e-mail – Outlook over the web. It would not allow me to log in. It let me type in my user name and password but the login box simply kept coming back up with the password blank. MyYahoo would not let me log in, it says I need cookies enabled. I tried both secure and standard mode logins to MyYahoo. I also noticed that pop-ups appear to be blocked now. While this is great for unwanted pop-ups, what will happen with "wanted" pop-ups, such as anything generated in a new window upon user request? Could you recommend a way, if there is a way, to allow cookies for certain sites and also be able to deal with secure sites like Outlook over the web? Then I tried logging in to another user on the PC…and the repcale.exe error messages started popping up, as did unintended IE browser windows. I did all the repairs you suggested in safe mode under my user. Should I have used Administrator? My user has admin privileges. Or do I need to do these steps for every user defined on the system? thanks

P.S. Javascript appears to be disabled, and under Tools - Internet Options - Security for Internet, the "custom Level" button is disabled, so I can't turn it on. Is this controlled by something else now?
