I am unable to update McAfee virus scan and when I try to go to www.mcafee.com or any other virus removal software website I get "This page cannot be found". The page doesn't look like the normal page you get. I burned a cd with the latest DAT and was able to upgrade VS and it didn't detect VB/Psym and remove it, but still get the same cannot be found error. The system will not restore to a point that is before the infection date. I do believe the problem came from a bluemountain.com ecard email my wife tried to view on my system because she couldn't view it on hers. She was having similar symptoms, but I was able to clean her W2K system. Below is my HJT log. I hope you can help, because I have been trying for several days to get this dang system cleaned.

I have also run Adaware and Spybot and they came back with nada…

Everything looks clear! I am able to visit the sites that were being blocked. Thanks a ton for you help!! Here is the post-log. I will check back to make sure there aren't other pieces that need fixing.

Running great! Reboots and boots up much faster, now. I will be directing everybody I know to HJT when they have problems. Thanks again. 8)

If you dont have these three programs I would recommend that you get them. Spywareblaster, Spywareguard and IESPY AD. They will add 1000's of sites to your resticted zone and block some hijacks from happening. In my signature below is also a tutorial on how to harden IE, a good read and very helpful to stop these things in the future. I also have a FREE FIREWALL and FREE ANTI VIRUS if you need one.

It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system.

Keep your system up to date and run Adaware & Spybot, once a week works, and hopefully you will be ok from here on.
