About:Blank is my new home page and there seems to be nothing I can do about it. My internet options have not been removed from either the tools menu or the control panel. The buttons are in place but they just don't work. I even get a Spywareguard notice when I reboot that someone has changed my home page. It gives me the option to restore the original default but it doesn't work either. My HT log follows. can someone tell me what to do with it?

It would be best if you printed these instructions out. You can check each of the steps off your list as we go, this will help you keep track of what has been done. We will be doing some of this in safe mode and you will not have access to this page. Read through the directions and ask any questions you may have before you start.
If you have any problems with any of the steps skip the step and go to the next. Be sure to let me know of any problems you encountered.

Download About:Buster from the following link. Extract it from zip to your desktop. Open it and check for updates. (don't run the scan yet)

http://www.downloads.subratam.org/AboutBuster.zip

http://cwshredder.net/bin/CWShredder.exe

Then download and install System Security Suite.
http://forums.subratam.org/index.php?act=A…e=post&id=25013
Extract it from the zip file and run setup.exe
after the install you can delete setup.exe and the downloaded zip file
