My Dell Inspiron 8000 laptop was hijacked. I installed microsoft anti-spyware and it detected a number of malware programs and removed them. But now whenever I try to open IE, the window immediately closes. I presume a registry entry is still in place that is doing this.
As recommended, I have run Spybot S&D.
I have reinstalled WinXP but not done a complete reinstall.
