Well there are these folders with the names "$NtUninstallK…." (with numbers after that) all over the place in my system32 directory. Also my C drive has folders like "_rpcs" "RECYCLER" and "System Volume Information", as well as files like "AUTOEXEC.BAT" "NTDETECT.COM" and "MSDOS.SYS" And here's the list: mobsync atiptaxx Ati2mdxx EzEjMnAp TpKmapAp tp4ex AGRSMMSG BMMLREF SynTPLpr SynTPEnh ibmmessages TPHKMGR TpShocks CQWLICON tfswctrl NTFSCLUP SCHWIZEX Provider IMJPMIG IMEKRMIG ImScInst TINTSETP TINTSETP imjpmig lxbbbmgr ccApp realsched iTunesHelper qttask SNDMon UsrPrmpt ctfmon ibmmessages Acrobat Assistant Microsoft Office
Nope those were there before the fix.

The "$NtUninstallK…." (with numbers after that)were always there and are backups for windows updates and hotfixes as discussed here http://forum.iamnotageek.com/t-782800.html

The _rcps is something to do with printing put I cant find a link to it right now

Recycler is the recycling bin again was always there .

System Volume Information guess what this is where the system restore files are again always there.

"AUTOEXEC.BAT" "NTDETECT.COM" and "MSDOS.SYS" all part of windows as well

Do you know how to use regedit?
home fries, is there something you DON'T understand about those BIG RED words

2.) No flames will be tolerated
3.) DO Not post help or your HijackThis Log to another user's hijackthis log unless you have been given permission to do so,
not following this guideline can get you banned from this forum
home fries, if you tell someone to make changes to the registery, you want to be sure they know how to do it. If you want to learn to help we have a learning school if you'd like to apply.
Could you explain to me why they're showing up now? Also, is there a way to make them hidden?

Just a little bit. If you gave me step by step instructions I'm sure I could manage though.

Also, my computer currently seems to be fine. All traces of the virus are now gone. I'd like you to just check one last time in case you missed something, if you don't mind that is.

If you dont have these three programs I would recommend that you get them. Spywareblaster, Spywareguard and IESPY AD. They will add 1000's of sites to your resticted zone and block some hijacks from happening. I also have a FREE FIREWALL and FREE ANTI VIRUS if you need one.

It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system.

Keep your system up to date and run Adaware & Spybot, once a week works, and hopefully you will be ok from here on. Both are available below.

Safe Surfing. :D
Yes, that worked. Thank you so much for all your help these past couple of days. I really appreciate it. Everything is now perfectly normal all thanks to you. Hopefully I won't be encountering any more of these things for a good while now. If I do however, I'll be sure to drop by here again.
