I belive I have a BHO. Any online search engine I use I am directed through two other sites before obtaining a return.
1) xml.klikfeed.com 2) c.goclick.com

As a result my choices are directed to other places to find info on that topic. I know this sounds VERY familiar, however. I have used and cleaned with…
Spy Bot Search & Destroy 2 found
AdAware 107 found and corrected
Microsoft beta adware version 10 found and corrected
Norton Antivirus 2005 2 found unable to delete
Avast Antivirus 2 virus's found (trojans) 2 deleted.

(Odd how each one found different adWares )

I still have the problem. When I search for example phone on Google I finally get this address, notice the search Aid portion, is this normal? I never noticed. Before this result I go through the above two sites. http://google.com/search.php?aid=A0006&hl;=en&q;=phones

I ran HijackThis and below is the log. I hope someone can help I am running out of hair  .

Hello Michael, Welcome to TomCoyote forum. If you are still looking for help, I will see what I can do. First I need a little help from you. Take a look at this item an tell me if it is a valid service you use. Thanks.
O23 - Service: Desktop - Unknown - C:\Delphi7\Projects\Virtual Desktop\Sources\Desktop.exe (file missing)

Please look at the location you are running HijackThis.exe from: Michael Cox\Desktop\HijackThis.exe We need a folder for storage of backups and logfiles. Please make a folder for it and move the HJT.exe into that folder, like this: Michael Cox\Desktop\HJT\HijackThis.exe.

You have a couple of BHO items with missing files as such they are not performing correctly. I will remove them and you can reinstall them if you wish after the cleanup.
Items coded in red are for your attention. Spyware Begone is rouge software, information in this link: http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti-s…re.htm#products
Look in Add Remove programs, if there please uninstall it.

(Odd how each one found different adWares )

Not unusual when you consider the hugh number of adware varities out there. This is one reason I use both and we suggest running both, to cover as many bases as possible. No product is 100%, they write the new junk too fast.

Scan with HijackThis and check each of these line items:

R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,Default_Search_URL = http://minisearch.startnow.com/
O2 - BHO: PCTools Site Guard - {5C8B2A36-3DB1-42A4-A3CB-D426709BBFEB} - C:\PROGRA~1\SPYWAR~1\tools\iesdsg.dll (file missing)
O2 - BHO: Explorer Class - {962F12AE-2773-4BEB-99EA-B5C3AB9A6606} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\DSMANA~1.DLL
O2 - BHO: FlashFXP Helper for Internet Explorer - {E5A1691B-D188-4419-AD02-90002030B8EE} - D:\FlashFXP\IEFlash.dll (file missing)
O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {61F7F368-F8AF-4674-B49D-0971F5A6D4A5} - (no file)
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Spyware Begone] C:\freescan\freescan.exe -FastScan
O8 - Extra context menu item: &Search - http://bar.mywebsearch.com/menusearch.html?p=ZNxdm414XXUS
O16 - DPF: {56336BCB-3D8A-11D6-A00B-0050DA18DE71} (RdxIE Class) - http://software-dl.real.com/087edecfd4731a…ip/RdxIE601.cab
-Netster

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows and click on "Fix Checked"
Clean Like this: Start, Run type "cleanmgr" without the quotes then ok. Check and remove anything windows locates. Empty the recycle bin and restart the computer. Surf a little, then post a new log along with your comments, information about the Service. Use the following two links to stay in this thread.
When replying to your topic, please use the
http://forums.tomcoyote.org/style_images/1/t_reply.gif
button NOT the
http://forums.tomcoyote.org/style_images/1/t_new.gif
button.

Thanks SO much! My search engine is mine again. The Delphi desktop.exe is an app I need sometimes developing applications. I am happy you noticed that I will have to fix it. Just so you know I think the main problem was the "O2 - BHO: Explorer Class - {962F12AE-2773-4BEB-99EA-B5C3AB9A6606} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\DSMANA~1.DLL " you said to delete. I deleted all the entries, emptied my bin and rebooted. No luck. So disgusted ran Hijacthis again and the above exploit was back. Helps to read directions closely  . I never ran disk cleanup before rebooting. By the way thanks for that to I forgot about it LOL.

Anyway, GREAT JOB. This site rocks! As soon as my bank account is replenished thanks to SprintPCS's screw up you'll be getting some PayPal.

email addressed edit out.
Hello Michael, Please do not post your email address, not safe and could get you a load of spam.

Surf a little, then post a new log along with your comments

I am glad everything has worked well for you, I would really like to take a last look at your log to be sure you are clean. If you will post that log, once I have looked it over, if you are clean I will have some great information for you to help you stay that way.
Thanks…pskelley

Sorry it has taken so long to get my new logfile posted. I have been away with work. Below is my log file as well as the adsspy.txt file which to my untrained eye looks like these files have been modified.

Thanks for taking a look

OK Michael, I am sorry to say I know nothing about your AdSpy program, the file means nothing to me. Your log still appears clean, and you are right, you should not have let that much time go by without availing your self of the expert information in the following links by Tony Klein, Texruss, ChrisRLG and Grinler:

I suggest the following free software, links contain the tutorial and download site:
