When I picked this up I was running with Norton Corporate Addition. And since, I have installed Norton Internet Security along with a number of Malware programs which have been recommended in some of the forums including Hijack This, Ewido, Ad Aware, Spybot and Windows Defender. I have run these programs a few times in accordance with the recommended procedures for removing Malware listed in the respected forums, but there seems to be some things which I have missed. In the process I have removed several suspicious files from the registry. And, using Hijack this I have removed/fixed the following items: [u]Winbrume.dll {C8F21DFE-B35C-4274-82EC-1E072D09025E}, xxtoolbar.dll, wormexe.exe, TorontoMail.exe.
I have also removed/uninstalled unspypc. And, in addition, I have "aupdate" and "AUPDATE.EXE" Running in the Registry under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Search Assistant\ACMru\5603 which is an autoupdater for Norton but also comes up as a virus file if in the wrong directory. Some of my problems are similar to that posted in http://www.computing...orum/17954.html In any case, any help would be greatly appreciated. I have posted a current Hijack This Log.
