You can't delete your posts. We will close any thread where you reply that the problem is fixed. If it is not fixed then you should continue in the original thread and not make extra work for us finding and merging them.
It is not the case that people don't respond when topics are merged. They may not respond if they see you have several threads open at once - that is just too confusing.
