Hello kaskent, Welcome to TomCoyote forum. The item you are seeing with AVG is in your System Restore files. We will purge those files before completing this cleanup to get rid of that. You do have another trojan on board:
http://www.trendmicro.com/vinfo/virusencyc…=TROJ_IMISERV.A

Here is what I want you to do. Your antivirus software version AVG 6.0 is obsolete as of 12/31/04. This may be how you are getting infected? Go here: http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php and download the latest version AVGFree. No need to uninstall the old one, this will be done for you during the download of the new version. Once downloaded and installed, make sure you get the latest update, then run a complete system scan. You saw in the link what we are looking for. Once that scan is complete, and hopefully has found and deleted that trojan, I want you to run this free online trojan scan also doing a complete system scan and having it fix or clean anything it locates.
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/housecall/start_corp.asp
Run cleanmgr: Start, Run type "cleanmgr" without the quotes then OK. Check and allow windows to remove anything it located.
Empty the recycle bin and restart the computer, use the following two links to stay in the same thread:

Post a new log along with any feedback from the scans.
Thanks…pskelley

That's great, there are a few minor issues I wanted to correct, like if you do not use emachines as a home page they stuck a lot of pluggins on the computer we could remove, you can see them in the log, and a orphan or two (not good/not bad). I also had some great information for helping you stay clean. All of this can happen if I can do a final check to make sure all in well in your log. :D …pskelley
pskelly: Here is my latest log file if you can help with any clean up I'd appreciate it :D

thank you again for your time, kaskent ;)

Hello kaskent, The emachine.com stuff comes with the computer and unless your Home Page is emachine you don't need the junk. Just google for the site if you ever need to go there. I left the Yahoo.com email sign in page, you can delete that also if you don't use it. Nothing bad here, just wasting space on your hard drive.
Open HJT then click on SCAN and put a check in front of each of these line items:

R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = http://www.emachines.com
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Search_URL = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/…//www.yahoo.com
R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing
O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {A8FB8EB3-183B-4598-924D-86F0E5E37085} - (no file)
O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {B195B3B3-8A05-11D3-97A4-0004ACA6948E} - (no file)
O14 - IERESET.INF: START_PAGE_URL=http://www.emachines.com

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows then click on "Fix Checked"
Empty the recycle bin and restart the computer. Here is some great information from Tony Klein, Texruss, ChrisRLG and Grinler to help you stay clean and safe online:
