Click here to download Ad-Aware SE and install. Before scanning click on "check for updates now" to make sure you have the latest reference file. Click "Start", select "Perform Full System scan" and "Next" to start the scan. When the scan is finished, the screen will tell you if anything has been found, click "Next". The bad files will be listed, right click the pane and click "Select all objects" - this will put a check mark in the box at the side, click "Next" again and click "OK" at the prompt "# objects will be removed. Continue?".

Reboot when done. Rescan with HJT and post a new log here so that any remnants can be removed manually.
I've run Adware with updates, no problems. I have previouisly run this, CWShredder, and S&D, removed any problems. Here is the new log. thanks for your help.

I have run S&D again, the same problems are back. I cleared, re-booted, re-ran S&D, same thing. S&D problem log below. Hope this leads to more suggestions. Here is a fix for the DSO exploit

Create a new folder called C:\HijackThis, move the HijackThis.exe file into the new folder and run it from there. This is necessary to ensure you have backups should anything go wrong.

Make sure that you have no browser windows open as this could prevent the fix from working properly. Open HijackThis, scan and when complete, remove the following entries by checking the box to the left and clicking 'fixed checked':

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://www.searchzoomer.com/
R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://www.searchzoomer.com/

Click here, for instructions on how to enable hidden files and folders to be visible. After enabling, reboot into safe mode by tapping F8 after the BIOS has loaded, find and delete the following:

C:\windows\system32\delaybuf.dll

Reboot when done, rescan with HJT and post a new log here for a final check over.
ran the fix. went to safe mode. file would not delete (says disc is full, write-protected, or currently in use.) tried again while disconnected from the net, same result. here is the new log:

Click here to download Pocket Killbox by Option^Explicit. Extract it from the zip file then double-click on Killbox.exe to run it.

Select the Delete on reboot option.

In the 'Full Path of File to Delete' box, copy and paste the following, clicking the 'Delete File' button (red circle with a white X) after pasting:

C:\windows\system32\delaybuf.dll

It will prompt you to reboot, press the YES button.

After restarting, with only HijackThis running, scan and when complete, remove the following entry by checking the box to the left and clicking 'fixed checked':
