Click here to download Spybot Search & Destroy - install, update, scan and fix all RED items it finds. Reboot when done.

Click here to download Ad-Aware SE and install. Before scanning click on "check for updates now" to make sure you have the latest reference file. Click "Start", select "Perform Full System scan" and "Next" to start the scan. When the scan is finished, the screen will tell you if anything has been found, click "Next". The bad files will be listed, right click the pane and click "Select all objects" - this will put a check mark in the box at the side, click "Next" again and click "OK" at the prompt "# objects will be removed. Continue?".

Reboot when done. Rescan with HJT and post a new log here so that any remnants can be removed manually.
Hi Deamon, did the things you recommended me to do.

Click here to download Pocket Killbox by Option^Explicit. Extract it from the zip file then double-click on Killbox.exe to run it. In the 'Full Path of File to Delete' box, copy and paste the following, clicking the red 'Delete File' button after pasting:

C:\WINDOWS\inetg\services.exe

Click 'Exit' when done.

If you receive a message such as: "Component 'MsComCtl.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid." when trying to run TheKillbox, click here to download and run missingfilesetup.exe. Then try TheKillbox again.

Then create a new folder called C:\HijackThis, extract the HijackThis.exe file from the zip file into the new folder and run it from there. This is necessary to ensure you have backups should anything go wrong. Make sure that you have no other browser windows open as this could prevent the fix from working properly. Open HijackThis, scan and when complete, remove the following entries by checking the box to the left and clicking 'fixed checked':

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://www.onlygoodsearch.com/10013/
F3 - REG:win.ini: run=C:\WINDOWS\inetg\services.exe
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {5321E378-FFAD-4999-8C62-03CA8155F0B3} - (no file)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [xp_system] C:\WINDOWS\inetg\services.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [xp_system] C:\WINDOWS\inetg\services.exe

Reboot when done. Have a look for these two files:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\SerExt.exe
C:\Program Files\Windows ServeAd\WinServAd.exe

zip them up individually and send to this e-mail address including a link to this thread in the body of the email.

Rescan with HJT and post a new log for a final check over.
This is the latest scan I did. I might have made a tiny mistake sending the email (forgot the thread). I'll send a new one right now.

OK the SerExt file is legitimate, related to Siemens.

The other is bad however. Press Control-Alt-Del to enter the Task Manager. Click on the Processes tab and end the following processes:

WinServAd.exe
WinServSuit.exe

Exit the Task Manager when finished

Make sure that you have no browser windows open as this could prevent the fix from working properly. Open HijackThis, scan and when complete, remove the following entries by checking the box to the left and clicking 'fixed checked':

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Windows ServeAd] C:\Program Files\Windows ServeAd\WinServAd.exe

Find and delete the following:

C:\Program Files\Windows ServeAd\ <– folder

Reboot when done, rescan with HJT and post a new log here.
Hi Deamon, Tried to stop the two processes in Task Manager, but it doesn't work. They keep on comming back. So….what to do? The problem with my startpage in IE however seems to be solved. Greetz Richmonc
Open the Killbox, copy and paste each of the following lines into the "Full Path of File to Delete" box in Killbox, and click the red button with the white X on it after each. Note if it tells you either could not be found or could not be deleted, as you'll need those later:

C:\Program Files\Windows ServeAd\WinServAd.exe
C:\Program Files\Windows ServeAd\WinServSuit.exe

For the files that it either couldn't find or couldn't delete, in the killbox again this time, put a mark next to "Delete on Reboot". Copy and paste each file into the file name box, then click the red button with the X after each. It will ask you if you want to reboot each time you click it, answer NO until after you've pasted the last file name, at which time you should answer Yes.

Then delete the Windows ServeAd folder. Fix the O4 entry in HJT and post a new log.
