Below is my hijackthis log. I have the here4search problem and I've run the spybot s&d. It finds it but can never fully get rid of the problem. I've also run the adaware program and it gets to a certain point, gives me an error and shuts down my system.

So, here is my hijackthis log. Please help if you can. Thanks!

Make sure you are running AdAware SE and have the latest updates. Do a custom scan and remove the check from 'scan active processes' Post a new HJT log when done.
I've run the adaware program 4 times now with the settings you suggest. It doesn't shut down my computer anymore but it NEVER finishes the scan (even overnight.) I've updated it and still no luck, but here is my latest hijackthis log file.

OK, we can use the old method. The program I am going to tell you to install has been successful removing this particular variant in the past.

Could you disable Norton for now and go here to download the free version of Grisoft's AVG AntiVirus program.

Install the program, check for updates and scan your system allowing it to remove whatever it finds.

Click here to download Pocket Killbox by Option^Explicit. Extract it from the zip file then double-click on Killbox.exe to run it. Select the Delete on reboot option.

In the 'Full Path of File to Delete' box, copy and paste the following, clicking the 'Delete File' button (red circle with a white X) after pasting:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\winlogin.exe

It will prompt you to reboot, press the NO button. Instead, copy and paste the following and click the 'Delete File' button again:

C:\Windows\System32\1wu9vg81i7uzb3ll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll

This file changes each time you reboot, if you have rebooted since your last log, get the correct file from a new HJT scan.

It will prompt you to reboot, press the NO button again and repeat for the following:

C:\WINDOWS\System32\C:\WINDOWS\System32\9hwg1n2uz2lythd.exe

Repeat for:

C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files\ieloader.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\tibs3.exe

When it prompts you to reboot this time, press the YES button.

Create a new folder called C:\HijackThis, move the HijackThis.exe file into the new folder and run it from there. This is necessary to ensure you have backups should anything go wrong. Make sure that you have no browser windows open as this could prevent the fix from working properly. Open HijackThis, scan and when complete, remove the following entries by checking the box to the left and clicking 'fixed checked':

That's a clean log - how is it running now?

If Norton is your preferred antivirus and you keep it up to date then uninstall AVG. Otherwise uninstall Norton. Antivirus programs that are not kept up to date are worthless and running two resident programs can cause conflicts.
Perfect!! All seems to be fine now! Thanks so much for your help. Is the AVG program just as good as Norton or McAfee? Seems to be since it picked up more things than my Norton did. I'll let you know if any problems persist, but all seems to be great. Thanks again!
You're welcome - glad to help :D I prefer AVG to Norton because it's easier on resources but it's up to you - just don't run both.

To help keep you clean follow the recommendations in Tony's article here:

So how did I get infected in the first place?
