We can do a deep scan if you wish.

Click here to download mwavscan. Double-click it to run it, select all local drives, scan all files, press 'scan' and when it is completed, anything found will be displayed in the lower pane. Highlight it, CTRL C and paste it in your next reply.

First click here to download LSPFix. Extract the program from the zip file and run it, make sure you click the "I know what I'm doing" button. Select calsp.dll and using the right-pointing 'arrows' and move all instances of calsp.dll it mentions to the Remove (RHS) side but leave everything else (it may not be there at all - in which case just exit the program). If you do move it, click the 'Finished' button when done (if you exit with the X at top right nothing happens).

Start Killbox and click on Tools->Delete Temp Files.

When that finishes, copy and paste each of the following lines into the "Full Path of File to Delete" box in Killbox, and click the red button with the white X on it after each. Keep track of any files it tells you either could not be found or could not be deleted, as you'll need those later:

C:\WINDOWS\games.exe
C:\WINDOWS\iconw.exe
C:\WINDOWS\SETE.tmp
C:\WINDOWS\trebates.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\calsp.dll
C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\ByronL\LOCAL SETTINGS\Temp\f2178672.exe
C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\ByronL\LOCAL SETTINGS\Temp\f352006.exe
C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\ByronL\LOCAL SETTINGS\Temp\nsdtmp09.dll
C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\ByronL\LOCAL SETTINGS\Temp\se.exe
C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\ByronL\LOCAL SETTINGS\Temp\THI4E36.tmp\TRebates.exe
C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\ByronL\LOCAL SETTINGS\Temp\THI4F85.tmp\trebates.cab
C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\ByronL\LOCAL SETTINGS\Temp\THI4F85.tmp\trebates.exe
C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\ByronL\LOCAL SETTINGS\Temp\THI6B99.tmp\adremtm3.cab

For the files that it either couldn't find or couldn't delete, in the killbox again this time, put a mark next to "Delete on Reboot". Copy and paste each file into the file name box, then click the red button with the X after each. It will ask you if you want to reboot each time you click it, answer NO until after you've pasted the last file name, at which time you should answer Yes.

When it reboots, post a new HJT log and mwavscan log again.
OK did the lspfix, rankill box and did the temp kill, Killbox found the first5 but none of the Doc and settings, put those in as delete on reboot, doing that now. FYI on one of the final pastes I got a dialog box that says "PendingFileRenameOpreations Registry Data has been removed by external process"
Mwav found nothing YEAAAAAAA, here is the HJT log

It seems to be running well, My mistake I pulled the NetExPro to the desktop when you asked for files, I will put back, restart , should I run Hijack and Wav one last time? VUDUTU
So long as the 'file missing' disappears from your HJT log after you have put it back and rebooted then you will be good to go.
OK,
Thanks so much, this experience just makes me LOVE my Mac more! FIY I found my Mac quite helpful in the process, I could be logged into the forum and use my USB keyspan to movee files back and forth.
Wav shows OK, here is HJT,
Now how the heck do I keep this thing from getting this again, he is not a real savvy user so I need to keep it simple, do you have some kind of auto updated software he can buy?
VUDUTU

You're welcome - glad to help :D

You don't necessarily need to buy software to stop this - to help keep you clean follow the recommendations in Tony's article here:

So how did I get infected in the first place?
