Jv16 & Other Once Free Programs

I recently found this wonderful forum, and wanted to pass along something I think is of value that not all may know about as a small thank you. I am an ardent advocate of freeware and have spent countless hours searching out sites and programs that I find useful. Son of Spy is a wonderful website dedicated to preserving the best of the public domain, whether it has gone shareware, paid, been discontinued or is no longer supported it can be found there. I recently used the 1.3 ver of jv16 downloaded from Son of Spy to remove a malignant game download that had written itself into my registry under 5 different names, including several entries that my Anti-Vir didn't much like. For those not familiar, I would also recomment FreewareArena.com and the wonderful Freewarebook e-book that lists, describes and links to other freeware sites. Remember, free download and freeware are NOT the same thing. Support the Freeware Revolution! Hope you find this useful. bem
