Welcome back.

First - About the problem you are having regarding disabling Norton Internet Security in order to gain access to the internet. This is NOT being caused by Malware, although you do have a few minor issues, but nothing that would cause your problem. When we finish here, I suggest you hear over to Symantec and get support from them about configuring your firewall – this document may pertain to you.

http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/nip.n…XP&csm;=no&tpre;=

I see you have Spybots Tea Timer running. That's good. However for our fix we need to disable it.
So, for now can you disable teatimer untill we complete all the fixes.

Next we need to get Hijackthis moved off the desktop and into a permanent folder, Here's how:
Important: Create a folder on the C: drive called C:\HJT.
You can do this by going to My Computer then double click on C: then right click and select New then Folder and name it HJT.
Unzip HijackThis into this folder. (or move the exsisting hijackthis.exe file) This way, it will create a backup file of modifications to use if we need them.

Once this file is in the correct place, delete the old one from your desk top.

We need to remove some bad programs. Here's how:
Go to Start
Control Panel
Add/Remove Programs
Look for a program or programs called Actual Names and or Internet Key Words and remove them if present.

Now open HJT from the C:\HJT location.
Close all windows and browsers except HJT and put a check mark next to these items and select FIX:

O2 - BHO: Browser - {046D6EA4-15E3-4b27-8010-45BD78A9219E} - C:\PROGRA~1\INTERN~2\inetkw.dll
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [inetmgr] C:\PROGRA~1\INTERN~2\inetmgr.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [awpHScEw] C:\PROGRA~1\wprtsour\provvuo.exe
O9 - Extra button: (no name) - {120E090D-9136-4b78-8258-F0B44B4BD2AC} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\ms.exe (file missing)
O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: MaxSpeed - {120E090D-9136-4b78-8258-F0B44B4BD2AC} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\ms.exe (file missing)

Now Reboot into safe mode, Here's how:
*Restart the computer.
*as soon as BIOS is loaded begin tapping the F8 key until the Advanced Options menu appears.
*Use the arrow keys to select the Safe mode menu item
*press Enter.

While in safe mode find these folders and delete them, in RED If they still exsist.
C:\PROGRA~1\wprtsour
C:\PROGRA~1\INTERN~2

As long as were in safe mode, lets delete the temp files:
Step 1:Delete Temp Files
To clean out your temp files, click on Start and then run, and type %temp% and press the ok button.

Open up the temp directory that your machine uses. Please delete all files that are found there.

Step 2: Delete Temporary Internet Files
Open up Internet Explorer, and click on the Tools menu and then Internet Options. At the General tab, which should be the first tab you are currently on, click on the Delete Files button and not be alarmed with how long it takes. When it is done, your Temporary Internet Files will now be deleted
put a checkmark in Delete offline content. Then press the OK button. This may take quite a while, so do not be alarmed.

Reboot normally a post a new HJT file.

Thanks,
Sky
