Hi,
I am just curious, and would like someone to please view my HJT LOG, and let me know if there are any problems. Internet connections are slower than normal, but I do have a slow dial-up, so am really just trying to do a process of elimination, before any Hardware is purchased.

TIA, to anyone who can help.

Here is my HJT LOG…

Thanks,

The 09 lines are sometimes difficult to remove with hijackthis.

O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Your PC is infected with Spyware - click here to fix your PC - {FB74C951-ACA1-4e33-A94C-A9261EB2CCB7} - https://www.spydeleter.com/order2.php?KBID=1062 (file missing

If hjt will not remove them this has been used successfully.

Open Notepad and copy / paste regedit4.
Save it as file name: "fixme.reg" (not including the quotes). Save as file type: *All files* and save it on your Desktop.

REGEDIT4

[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Extensions\{FB74C951-ACA1-4e33-A94C-A9261EB2CCB7}]

Then, locate fixme.reg on your desktop and double-click it.
You will receive a prompt similar to: "Do you wish to merge the information into the registry?".
Answer 'Yes' and wait for a message to appear similar to "Merged Successfully".

Reboot and post a new log, looks like there will be more to fix.
Thanks! it got rid of them pesky ones…now here's my new HJT LOG..

I have another question. Do I need to make seperate posts for two computers…?

It'll be best if you do. These things can be pages long.

Grisoft now has a new version out AVG7. Click HERE.

MOST IMPORTANT: You Need to Update Windows and IE to get all the Latest Security Patches to protect your computer from the malware that is around on the internet. Please go to
http://v5.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/v5co…t.aspx?ln=en-us]Microsoft Windows and Internet Explorer Updates to get the critical updates.

If you are running Microsoft Office, or any portion thereof, go to the Microsoft's Office Update site and make sure you have at least all the cirtical updates installed (Free) Microsoft Office Update

Log looks good :D  How is it running any issues?

If you dont have these three programs I would recommend that you get them. Spywareblaster, Spywareguard and IESPY AD. They will add 1000's of sites to your resticted zone and block some hijacks from happening. I also have a FREE FIREWALL and FREE ANTI VIRUS if you need one.

It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system.

Keep your system up to date and run Adaware & Spybot, once a week works, and hopefully you will be ok from here on. Both are available below.

Safe Surfing. :D
 Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it. No real issues at this time, just thought I would see what I can dispose of.. <_< I know about the AVG, just been waiting for a few days, (I am on a slow dial-up), and the other proggies, I have except SpywareGuard, and IESpy AD, and I run the mentioned apps in question, at least every other session. ;) I run Sygatre as my firewall.. I am running W2K, with SP4, but will check to see if there is anything else to download. B) Again thanks, and I will get the other LOG ready for a post, and hopefully, I will land someone as easy to understand as you have been.. :) -flatteggs
