My browser has been highjacked by Search 200 browser. It keeps downloading websites and unwated icons on my desktop. Please help!
Click here to download HijackThis by Merijn Bellekom. Doubleclick the file, click Unzip and it will save the application to C:\HijackThis. Run it from there to scan your computer.

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button. Save the log, Ctrl-A to Select All and post it here for examination. Don't fix anything yet as most of what it lists will be harmless.
I would be so greatful for your help. Here is the logfile.

Click here to download Spybot Search & Destroy - install, update, scan and fix all RED items it finds. Reboot when done.

Click here to download Ad-Aware SE and install. Before scanning click on "check for updates now" to make sure you have the latest reference file. Click "Start", select "Perform Full System scan" and "Next" to start the scan. When the scan is finished, the screen will tell you if anything has been found, click "Next". The bad files will be listed, right click the pane and click "Select all objects" - this will put a check mark in the box at the side, click "Next" again and click "OK" at the prompt "# objects will be removed. Continue?".

Reboot when done. Rescan with HJT and post a new log here so that any remnants can be removed manually.
Just hit Add Reply.

Create a new folder called C:\HijackThis, move the HijackThis.exe file into the new folder and run it from there. This is necessary to ensure you have backups should anything go wrong.

Make sure that you have no browser windows open as this could prevent the fix from working properly. Open HijackThis, scan and when complete, remove the following entries by checking the box to the left and clicking 'fixed checked':

Click here, for instructions on how to enable hidden files and folders to be visible. After enabling, reboot into safe mode by tapping F8 after the BIOS has loaded, find and delete the following:

C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\User\APPLICATION DATA\Gpljoy\ <– folder

Reboot when done, rescan with HJT and post a new log here for a final check over.
Daemon:

All I can say is thank you so much if this works. I have been trying to squelch this for months. Omega killer kept it at bay but it still came back. Spybot and Adware did not touch it.

Here's my log after deletion of files you suggested to delete. Many thanks again!!

<_< Not sure about total success. I went into spybot to check the list of browser settings. There is still one that keeps resetting to a random list of letters and numbers like http:\lskduf2k23j4 etc. I am not sure if that is connected to the Search 200 or not. Please advise! Many thanks.
I deleted it. It was reset with my regular homepage. But I deleted it anyway, because it keeps changing. I'll reboot and check it again. Thanks again!!!!!
