I had a trojan (Gema.A) last week. At the time I was using ez antivirus & when I ran the antivirus it confirmed virus & advised of deletion. However whenever I now start up my computer (windows xp) I get 2 pop up boxes stating the following.

1) windows cannot find c:\windows\system32\unldr16.exe.

the next box is titled Desktop & states

2) could not load c\windows\system 32\unldr16.exe make sure file exists on computer or remove reference to it in registry.

I now use Norton antivirus but this hasn't solved problem. I have been advised to use hijackthis & to post results here for assistance.

I would be greatful for any assistance. As you can see over the last week I have tried various things to try and solve this and now seem to have a lot of things relating to anti spyware & antivirus.

C:\Program Files\Internet Washer Pro
Hope you didn't pay for this concidered bad.
If you did see if you are within the 7 day trial offer.

Close all Browser and Program Windows and have HijackThis fix the following.
Do this by checking the box beside each and then clicking on Fix checked.

O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {44A23DAB-8D31-43AE-9F68-5AC24CF7CE8C} - (no file)

Then Download System Security Suite. Extract it from the zip file into a folder.
http://www.igorshpak.net/software/3ssetup104.zip
Under "items to clear" click all. Then click "clear selected items"

Reboot and create a restore point.
Rescan with HJT and post a new log here.
Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.
I have done as you have advised but unfortunately, still getting the 2 pop up boxes. Here is the new report as requested.

Hi! just before i follow your instructions for above. I thought I would let you know that I have just discovered that something has happened whenever I attempt to connect to internet. As soon as I open internet explorer, it has an address of (res://C:\WINDOWS\system32\shdoclc.dll/navcancl.htm) instead of my usual homepage of my isp. Also when I do get connected it then forces an address of (www.hitpointer.com/textlinks.html). When I log off internet I am no longer able to look at history items in off line. Please advise if ok to follow your above instructions.

Pandasoftware Added because of AV scan

Spykiller

Best pop Up Killer  Google toolbar has a very good built in popup blocker with a nice search bar. To provide privacy, select disable advanced features when installing.
