I usually use Firefox as my browser, but I am getting popups in IE, even I dont have IE open! How do I fix this? I tried adaware and installing service pack 2, neither one worked. Thanks.
Greetings and welcome to TomCoyote.org!

Important: Create a folder on the C: drive called C:\HJT.
You can do this by going to My Computer (Windows key+e) then double click on C: then right click and select New then Folder and name it HJT.
Download HijackThis into this folder.

If required a tutorial is here = Hijackthis Folder Tutorial

Links to Hijack This! v 1.98.2:

http://tools.radiosplace.com/HijackThis.exe
http://spywarewarrior.com/files/HijackThis.exe
http://tomcoyote.org/hjt/HijackThis.exe

Run it from that folder.

Click "Scan".

DO NOT "FIX" ANYTHING WITH IT YET!!!
FIXING THE WRONG THING COULD RENDER YOUR SYSTEM INOPERABLE!!!

Click "Save log".

Reply to this thread, and "copy/paste" the ENTIRE CONTENTS of the log file into this thread.
I think its this "Virtual Bouncer" program, the description I found online matches what its doing to my machine.

You've definitely got a malware problem. :(

You have a "Winsock hijack".

Let's get rid of that first.

To do that, do these steps:

1. Download and run: LSPfix.exe
2. Check 'I know what I'm doing'.
3. Select all instances of 'calsp.dll'.
4. Click the right-pointing arrow.
5. Click 'Finished'.
6. Restart your computer. Verify your Internet connection is working.
