When trying to install windows critical updates, message install failed appears. It is the first time this happens. Could it have something to do with Spybot 1.3 ( and SD Resident ) ?

If Tea Timer has been set to auto block, then maybe. Open Spybot in advanced mode, go to tools and click on resident. Uncheck the two boxes near the top. Go do windows update and when done with that, open Spybot and check the boxes to get you proction back on.

Thanks for your reply and sorry for late answer. Have been away some time. Tried as you said, but still nope. :( The window showing progress of download and install appears, files are downloaded, then install seems to work normally, with some noises from the HD. Then message appears : "No updates installed. The following items failed to install : Security update KB...). Would you have any further suggestions ?
