I have downloaded, installed and run Ad-Aware SE Plus ver. 1.05 in full system scan mode and deleted all malware. I also ran Trend Micro PC-cillian and no viruses were found. I re-ran Ad-Aware (full system scan) and nothing was found.

Here is my Hijackthis log:

System seems to be running fine - don't know if anything in the log file looks suspicious and should be deleted.

Thanks for your help!

Steve
For the following file, I want to make sure it's not a valid system file . Right click on it and go to Properties. Then go to the Version tab to see what company name it's from: C:\WINDOWS\System32\certmgr3.exe
little eagle, When I go into Properties, the only tabs I have are General, Compatibility, Virus Property, and Summary. There is no company name mentioned. Thanks, Steve
little eagle, No, I do not use ohio nets…I was on their web site yesterday (they are a local company) and was surprised when the reference to them showed up in the Hijackthis log. Thanks, Steve
Now lets get rid of them

Close all Browser and Program Windows and have HijackThis fix the following by checking the box beside each and then clicking on Fix checked.

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyServer = http=127.0.0.1:9022
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyOverride = ;127.0.0.1;ohionets.homeip.net;www.ohionets.com;;www.msnusers.com;ohionets.homeip.net;www.ohionets.com;www.msnusers.com

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [418a5d7ec641] C:\WINDOWS\System32\certmgr3.exe

Reboot afterwards in SAFE MODE. If you don't know how click here
Delete the following files and folder listed

C:\WINDOWS\System32\certmgr3.exe File only

Some of these files and folders might have the hidden atribute
How to show hidden files and folders in Windows Instructions here

Then Download System Security Suite. Extract it from the zip file into a folder.
http://www.igorshpak.net/software/3ssetup104.zip
Under "items to clear" click all. Then click "clear selected items"

Reboot and Rescan with HJT and post a new log here.
Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.

As you can see, the certmgr3.exe file is still there! I deleted it in C:\WINDOWS\System32 while in SAFE MODE and when I rebooted, it was gone from C:\WINDOWS\System32. I then ran a search for certmgr3.exe and found it in C:\WINDOWS\Prefetch as centmgr3.exe-020F23FD.pf. Don't know if this means anything or not.

Actually, my computer seems to be running pretty well - it's an AMD Duron 800 MHz processor so I can't expect too much!

Thanks, I really appreciate your help on this.

Steve
I belive that it's Ad-watch that is causing it to reinstall. It's is watching your start ups and fixing your settings. I don't have it on mine see if there is a way to disable it. And try it again. Winpatrol Spywareguard Spybot s&d (Teatimer option) Also do this.
