Pop Ups Driving Me Crazy!

When ever i go on the internet i get a pop up which opens another pop up. The first pop up is always got an internet address -

http://www.vx55.com:8080/tms/click/index.jsp?184

And then the other pop up is usually about finacial help and buy porn.

Also the interent is very slow! And most of the time it will freeze for a minute and then the pop up will appear. :angry:

By the way, i have got windoes xp service pack 2 which has the pop up blocker installed in it. Also i have used spybot search and destroy. even with all this i still haven't got the problem solved.

Hello Ankur,

You have one (or more) of these programs running on your machine and that is good.

Winpatrol
Spywareguard
Spybot s&d (Teatimer option)

But prior to doing the fix below with hijackthis they need to be turned off.
Please do the following.

Right click the running icon of spybot's teatimer, and choose exit.
Right click the running icon of winpatrol, and choose exit.
Right click the running icon of Spywareguard, it will open the program, Menu, file, exit, and confirm the programs close.

Unless they are turned off they could interfer with the fix by hijackthis.

Close all Browser and Program Windows and have HijackThis fix the following by checking the box beside each and then clicking on Fix checked.

Then Download System Security Suite. Extract it from the zip file into a folder.

Reboot and Rescan with HJT and post a new log here.
Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.

Hi, before doing what you told me to do (above), the computer was running fine except for the internet. The internet was very slow even with an adsl connecton. Pop ups used to come up even with a pop up blocker on and the pop up used to open in a new internet browser. The pop up only occured when i went on the internet. Also internet expolrer froze for a while and then the pop up would occur. But now the pop ups don't seem to be coming. Here is the new log:

Hi, before doing what you told me to do (above), the computer was running fine except for the internet. The internet was very slow even with an adsl connecton. Pop ups used to come up even with a pop up blocker on and the pop up used to open in a new internet browser. The pop up only occured when i went on the internet. Also internet expolrer froze for a while and then the pop up would occur. But now the pop ups don't seem to be coming. Here is the new log:

ok, i have just noticed a problem. i can not find The ttuh.exe and this is why it has rea aperared again. I this supposed to happen? I'll try to remove again and post another log file. THANKS

Here is the newest log file. i ouldn't find the ttuh.exe but i think this time the other things haven't reappeared (wnstssv.exe and eyxvyl.exe). And spybot hasen't asked me if it want's to block or unblock the wnstssv.exe and eyxvyl.exe from appearing again.

Hi, the computer seems to be running fine, except for the fact that for some reason service pack 2 keeps telling me to check that my anti virus software is working, but this is only on reboot. Also i get a message asking me if i want to change back to netgear to handle my wirless connection. The interent is working fine now. I haven't got a pop up and it isn't slow any more.

The C:\Program Files\NETGEAR WG311v2 Adapter is the software which is for my wirless lan connection.

Hi Ankur,

You have one (or more) of these programs running on your machine and that is good.

Winpatrol
Spywareguard
Spybot s&d (Teatimer option)

But prior to doing the fix below with hijackthis they need to be turned off.
Please do the following.

Right click the running icon of spybot's teatimer, and choose exit.
Right click the running icon of winpatrol, and choose exit.
Right click the running icon of Spywareguard, it will open the program, Menu, file, exit, and confirm the programs close.

Unless they are turned off they could interfer with the fix by hijackthis.



Close all Browser and Program Windows and have HijackThis fix the following by checking the box beside each and then clicking on Fix checked.
