"Back in August, Lavasoft, the creater of AdAware, had mistakenly called our 'computercops.biz' cookie a data miner/tracking cookie which it is most certainly not! A few threads were started in Lavasoft Support Forums asking how could this have happened, and the Technical Support Forum Administrator, Jerry Skinner, replied back calling it a mistake on his part…We bring this to the public's attention because it was found that other sites have users posting complaints that are still using this incorrect definition file from Lavasoft. Its enabling folks to think our cookie is 'bad'. It is not, it was a mistake by Lavasoft – which unfortunately can cause issues with the public if they don't know what we're about, and if they haven't updated their AdAware since then. So if you haven't already done so, please update your definition file."
