Please help me. I've run ad-aware and spybot-search&destroy but things are still playing up.

While waiting for a response I looked around a bit and discovered that the problem was probably caused by cool web search. I used CWShredder and now the problem seems to be fixed. I rebooted and ran Hijackthis again and here is the log file. Can you see anything else wrong?

First I would Go to add and remove programs and remove.
C:\PROGRAM FILES\MYWAY\MYBAR

Guess I was A Little late.[external image: Posted Image]

Then Download then unzip and run CWShredder to clean up clicking "FIX" to have it remove all it finds.

We have found that some of the CWS infections can be removed better from safe mode, rather than normal mode.
To get to safe mode use the F8 key while booting the machine. Detailed instructions from here :-

UNZIP HijackThis
After unzipping the file to C:\Hijack This, you'll end up with the file itself, which is Hijackthis.exe, and that's the one you'll need to doubleclick.'

Close all Browser and Program Windows and have HijackThis fix the following by checking the box beside each and then clicking on Fix checked.

Cleaning out your temp and temporary internet files would be a good idea.Instructions here

Reboot and Rescan with HJT and post a new log here.

Thanks for the help. I did as you said and have a new log file for you to peruse. When I ran CWShredder it asked me to decide whether a certain file should be deleted. It said it could not be sure but it was probably linked with cool web search and that I should ask someone who knows. Something like that anyway. That file was WCUNINST.exe and was located in the WINDOWS folder, but now resides in The recycle bin. Should I delete it?

At the moment my computer is just about fine. There is one thing though. When I open internet explorer for the first time after connecting it will come up but then freeze. Once I have used ctrl+alt+del and closed the non responding internet explorer and opened a new one it works fine. It will carry on working fine but if I close all browsers, disconnect then reconnect and open interent explorer I have to do it again.
If I open internet explorer when I am not connected, though, it will not freeze.
This problem seems to be linked with messenger and outlook express aswell because I have to do the process with the freezing internet explorer thing before they work properly.
