Firefox 76.0.1 about:config setting "toolkit.telemetry.enabled" is set to false, is greyed out and can't be changed to enabled.

Please advise how to unlock so the setting can be changed to "true"

barebear,

I'm confused.

You want to have your browsing habits tracked?

The short answer is that you can't in the release version.  It is locked to false.

If you run the nightly version it is locked true because mozilla uses it to glean data based on your usage.

The long answer is that in order to change it you need to hack the coding.  That brings me back to the question of why would you want to do this?
