Hi

I just want to know if I can use a Universal Adaptor safely with my Toshiba Satellite laptop.

The charger in question is Approx APPUA100BRCP 100W Automatic netbook adapter.

In their manual it says, that it can be used with "nearly every laptop on the market".

On my laptop it says  19V/4.74A,  whereas the adaptor puts out 19V/5.3A

Thanks

Jens

The important thing is the voltage. If the voltage is correct for your laptop, then provided the current is sufficient ( amperage) on the charger/Power supply Unit, and it.s electrically safe in terms of design and construction and fits your laptop correctly then there should be no problem.

Okay, thanks

It provides 19V, as is what my laptop needs, so fine then.

Many thanks

Jens
