Hello,

I have recently bought Defender Harvard C-945 keyboard and mouse set.

In the set I found mouse, keyboard, batteries and one nano receiver.

When I insert nano receiver into Laptop Hp Pavilion G6 usb port workink only mouse, the keyboard don't show any signs, even the lights indicator don't show nothing..

The batteries are good and new….

Also for more information - I didn't have wi-fi internet, only mobile internet "Huawei mobile broadband" usb sticker.

Maybe someone have any ideas how to fix this problem and start using the set, not only the mouse ? :(

Hi saruniukstis, and welcome to our forum.

:welcome:

Sorry to hear of the problem with your keyboard.

Here's a list of the usual things that it may be worth your while checking:

1 Put a voltmeter on the AAA batteries and make sure they both show a minimum voltage of 1.5

2 Check the orientation of the batteries (they should usually be connected in series ,(not parallel) this step is most important as the keyboard will require a full 3v to operate effectively.

3 Make sure the spring connector on the keyboard negative ( ve-)  terminal is allowing a good contact to  be made and that the battery terminals are clean and free from any plastic wrapping)

4 Try using a different USB port for the nano .. any improvement?

5 check to see if there is an on/off button someone on the keyboard and or a "connect" button… (some do, some don't!)

6 tap and shake the keyboard gently whilst inverted…..

if the above steps do not enable it to work then you may be looking at a defective keyboard….. before you return it  to the vendor for a replacement it would be wise to test the keyboard in a known good working computer.

regards
