As the title indicates, I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate - 64 Bit. I use a Wi-Fi connection to connect to the internet. I'm using an Air-Link101 for my Wi-Fi adapter. I recently tried a new CISCO velvet adapter but decided Air-Link worked better. When I changed back to the Air-Link adapter the symbol on the right side of the bottom toolbar (which always showed white triangle bars noting the connection) now has a yellow * in front of the bars noting no connection- Although I have an excellent connection. Does anyone know the reason for this or how I can get the bars noting the connection again. I tried a system restore to a time before the installs but that did not solve the problem.

Any yellow marks in Device Manager?
Have you tried uninstalling the Air-Link then reinstalling it?
Their are no yellow marks in Device Manager and I did uninstall Air-Link and then re-installed.
Everything works great except the * in front of the bars.
Click on Start then Run or press Window key (next to left Ctrl key) +R and paste the following into the Run box, exactly as shown, including double quotes:
cmd /c "ipconfig /all > postme.txt & ping yahoo.com >> postme.txt & reg query "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings" >> postme.txt & notepad postme.txt & del postme.txt"
and press ENTER.
A file will open in Notepad. Please copy and paste the contents here. Close the Notepad window and the file will be deleted and the Command Prompt window will also close.
If you don't have a Run selection off the Start menu, see here: Enable Run Command on Windows 7 or Vista Start Menu, or How to access the 'Run' box in Windows® 8.1 - YouTube or just press Windows Key (next to the left Ctrl key) + R, or open the Modern desktop, type run then click on Run that appears.
Thanks Ztruker,
Worked Great!
??? What worked great? Were you able to fix the problem? If so how, what led you to the problem.
