hello everybody, to start off im a very technical guy, so just to get started on my previous experience i once had a hp laptop, the lights [power and wireless light] only came on the screen didnt come on or anything and that will all last for about 10 seconds, with battery only plugged in. when i had the battery not plugged in and just the psu plugged in the laptop would just stay on with those 2 lights and no display for hours, so i just disconnected psu battery every hour or 2 for about 3 days, IT THAN WORKED, display works, boot works, everything, so to get back to the acer, it has the same prob except i did the same thing but not as long, on the acer with everything plugged in or 1 thing plugged out there will always be 2 lights [ power and battery] and the fan would be on for only THREE SECONDS its a very good laptop, please dont tell me its fried or any of this B.S i need help getting this working, dont tell me either to remove this or that for 30 seconds, tried no good, i wanted ADVANCED information, thank you

so turning things on and off and unplugging the battery every now and then waiting for a miracle makes you a techy guy. ![]()
sorry couldn't resist. ![]()
all teasing aside what happens when you connect it to a monitor, you get anything displayed then, either with battery plugged in or just running off the ac adaptor?

nope nothing, this laptop also has a graphics card that i can take out so i take it out and then do the same thing, nothing, do it with the processor same thing, nothing, have them both out, same thing, nothing, would it be the onboard graphics? there has to be a way to fix this
UPDATE:
so as i said the laptop turns off about 3 seconds when its turned on, i pressed the power button each time it turns on, now it says on with battery and power light on with battery and psu plugged in, still no display picture coming up
if your not getting any display even when an external monitor is used then yes i'd be thinking the graphics hardware is dead, then again you say the pc turns off after 3 seconds and only stays on intermittently so maybe you have a power problem.
test the charger and if possible try a different one(same voltage/watts/amps as the original.). it may just be that it's not supplying enough amperage to charge the battery, power the graphics even tho it looks on with the lights lit.
hope you were careful and took all anti static procedures and disconnected all power including battery before removing and reinstalling parts inside the laptop, especially the processor, by the way nothing will work when that isn't installed so testing anything when that is out is just pointless.
if the power adaptor tests ok then to be honest i think i'd take it to a professional so they can narrow down exactly which part may be dead, might be the motherboard, cpu, or graphics card. so would probably work out cheaper for you in the long run than trying to replace each part and hope that's the one that's faulty.

yeah, i've experienced this with a hp laptop with same problem, but for some reason after 3 or 4 days after it worked, bios showed, and everything, so maybe theres not enough power going to the cpu or graphics, yes i've tried 2 different chargers
also i found a video which i do believe the guy in it is telling the truth, but if i but my graphics card into the oven for 10 minutes it should work his the link:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xvdcq6WbX1g
all that's doing is fixing a dry joint somewhere on the card by reflowing the solder on the board, so may work for you but then again in about 999 cases out of 1000 i'd say it was a waste of time.
to be honest i doubt that's your problem because of your power issues where your pc turns itself off after 3 seconds.

okay thanks
