Hi

I'm a bit of a dum dum on technical stuff for computers, but when I click on internet explorer a black screen flashes up with a blue title, but its too fast to read.
It looks like an ms dos screen, it's ony there a millisecond or so.

Any ideas why this is occuring

Many thanks

Nigel

What operating system?
32 or 64 bit?
What version of IE?

Try running IE without any add-ons as follows:

Pres Windows key and R key.
Type iexplore -extoff and press Enter.

If IE starts, you will see Internet Explorer is currently running without add-ons[/b][/color]

Click on Tools then Manage Add-ons.
Disable ALL add-ons then close IE and restart it normally. If it starts okay then use Manage Add-ons to enable them a few at a time until you find the one causing the problem.

If that doesn't help then reset IE. See here: How to reset Internet Explorer settings
