Help! My laptop seems to be infected with some sort of virus. I am running out of disk space even though I've cleaned up my drive of unused programs. Maybe you could also help me out with merging or removing the disk partition. I know I could just format my laptop and be done with it but the problem is I lost my windows installer when we moved. Your help is greatly appreciated.
Hi and Welcome!!

My name is Jeff. I would be more than happy to take a look at your malware results logs and help you with solving any malware problems you might have. Logs can take a while to research, so please be patient and know that I am working hard to get you a clean and functional system back in your hands. I'd be grateful if you would note the following:

  • The fixes are specific to your problem and should only be used for the issues on this machine.
  • It's often worth reading through these instructions and printing them for ease of reference.
  • If you don't know or understand something, please don't hesitate to say or ask!! It's better to be sure and safe than sorry.
  • Please reply to this thread. Do not start a new topic.
  • If you happen to have a flash drive/thumb drive please have that ready in the event that we need to use it.
  • Please be sure to subscribe to the topic if you have not already done so.
IMPORTANT NOTE : Please do not delete, download or install anything unless instructed to do so.
DO NOT use any TOOLS such as Combofix or HijackThis fixes without supervision. Doing so could make your system inoperable and could require a full reinstall of your operating system and losing all your programs and data.

Having said that…. [external image: Posted Image] Let's get going!!

Sorry for any delay….do you still need help?
Hi,

Please download DDS from either of these links

LINK 1
LINK 2

and save it to your desktop.
  • Disable any antivirus programs during the scan (If you have difficulty properly disabling your protective programs, refer to this link here )
  • Double click dds to run the tool.
  • When done, two DDS.txt's will open.
  • Save both reports to your desktop.

Please include the contents of the following in your next reply:

DDS.txt

Attach.txt
———-

[external image: Posted Image] Please download aswMBR to your desktop.

  • Double click the aswMBR icon to run it.
  • Click the Scan button to start scan.
  • If you are asked to update the Avast Virus database please allow it to do so.
  • When it finishes, press the save log button, save the logfile to your desktop and post its contents in your next reply.

[external image: Posted Image] AdwCleaner

Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode onto your desktop.
  • Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool.
  • Click on Search.
  • A logfile will automatically open after the scan has finished.
  • Please post the contents of that logfile with your next reply.
  • You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[R1].txt as well.

Thanks for getting me those logs while you get the others I asked for. This helps. :)

If you don't mind, along with the other tools I asked you to use and get logs from can you do this also?

Download CKScanner by askey127 from Here & save it to your Desktop.
  • Right-click and Run as Administrator CKScanner.exe then click Search For Files
  • When the cursor hourglass disappears, click Save List To File
  • A message box will verify the file saved
  • Double-click the CKFiles.txt icon on your desktop then copy/paste the contents in your next reply
Files Detected: 2 C:\D-drive-96751\RemoveWGA.exe (PUP.RemoveWGA) -> No action taken. C:\D-drive-96751\NOD32 Antivirus System 2.70.39\Crack\NOD32.FiX.v2.2.exe (PUP.RiskWareTool.CK) -> No action taken. Do you have any advice about this log from MBAM? Can I delete them? Anyway, I've attached the logs that you requested last time. I hope to hear from you soon. I'll send you the CK scanner log tomorrow. Thanks. ^_^

Do you have any advice about this log from MBAM? Can I delete them?

Yes you can delete them. :)

Once I get the CKScanner log I can determine what we have and go from there.
CKScanner seems to have detected unauthorized software on your system. Besides being unauthorized, it's the number one way of infecting your system as all cracked/keygen software is infected. This forum, as well as all the other malware removal forums, do not support the use of unauthorized software except for their removal. If I were to continue helping you with unauthorized software installed, it could be construed in the eyes of the law as aiding and abetting a crime. If you do not agree to this then this thread will be closed and no further help will be offered because I will never be able to tell you your malware logs are clean. Please let me know if you wish to continue.
okay. may I know what those software were so I can remove them from my laptop 'cos I don't how they got there in the first place. thanks.
Hi,

c:\d-drive-96751\nod32 antivirus system 2.70.39\crack\!!!read1st!!!.txt
c:\d-drive-96751\nod32 antivirus system 2.70.39\crack\nod32.fix.v2.2.exe

Looks like an unauthorized version of ESET was installed on the system. Please remove these and then run a new scan with CKScanner and post the new log. :)
