A friend of mine told me about this forum so I just joined in search for a solution to my problem that has been bothering me.
So I bought a brand new gaming notebook which has a Killer N1103 wireless adapter. I'm running my home internet (wireless) through a D-Link DIR-655 router.
I've been getting constant disconnections specially playing Battlefield 3, all ports needed for this particular game are open. It usually happens 5-10 minutes in the game. When I check my LOG, it shows lots of Blocked outgoing ICMP packets)
[INFO] Mon May 27 23:29:50 2013 Blocked outgoing ICMP packet (ICMP type 3) from 192.168.0.174 to 206.217.133.16 [INFO] Mon May 27 23:29:50 2013 Blocked outgoing ICMP packet (ICMP type 3) from 192.168.0.174 to 24.200.243.189 [INFO] Mon May 27 23:29:50 2013 Blocked outgoing ICMP packet (ICMP type 3) from 192.168.0.174 to 24.201.245.77 [INFO] Mon May 27 23:29:50 2013 Blocked outgoing ICMP packet (ICMP type 3) from 192.168.0.174 to 24.200.241.37 [INFO] Mon May 27 23:29:50 2013 Blocked outgoing ICMP packet (ICMP type 3) from 192.168.0.174 to 24.200.243.189 [INFO] Mon May 27 23:29:50 2013 Blocked outgoing ICMP packet (ICMP type 3) from 192.168.0.174 to 24.200.241.37 [INFO] Mon May 27 23:27:25 2013 Blocked incoming ICMP packet (ICMP type 8) from 129.82.138.44 to 70.81.96.80 [INFO] Mon May 27 23:25:41 2013 Blocked incoming TCP packet from 91.220.101.221:80 to 70.81.96.80:65156 as SYN:ACK received but there is no active connection [INFO] Mon May 27 23:25:36 2013 Blocked outgoing ICMP packet (ICMP type 3) from 192.168.0.174 to 206.217.133.16
The 24.200.241 ip is from my ISP called Videotron (Canada), so I believe it's legit.... anyways, I've tried absolutely everything with no success, sometimes I can play for hours, but most of the time I can't stay connected for more than 5-10min. What's happening here? Is there a way to overpass the router and allow this traffic? Is this traffic a sign of problems?
thank you very much for your attention.
regards
EDIT: I've forgot to mention that I have a different DNS (US) set on the router, but I have in this particular notebook set under Network Adapter settings IPV4 my ISP DNS (Canada) could that be a problem?
