Hello inkster
Information on how to perform the system restore can be found in the link I provided earlier (post number 36).
Before you give system restore a try lets try one last thing:
You do not need a Vista disk to perform a system restore, the restore points are already saved on your machine (you only need a vista disk for system file checker to replace the damaged files).Try and find some vista disks and do a system restore?
Information on how to perform the system restore can be found in the link I provided earlier (post number 36).
Before you give system restore a try lets try one last thing:
- Please un-install Bing Bar
- Click on "Windows Orb" then on "Computer" and then on the "Uninstall or change a program" tab.
- A list of currently installed programs will be displayed.
- Find the "Bing Bar" program, click on it once and then click on the "uninstall" button.
- If you are prompted to re-boot your computer to complete the uninstall please do so.
If uninstalling the toolbar does not help, I can only suggest that you try a System Restore if you have not already tried the clean startup instructions I provided earlier.
Should you require any additional support when trying the System Restore please start a new thread in the Windows forum.
Since your system logs are coming back clean we will have to remove our tools:
- Please Uninstall Combofix
- Hold down the Windows key (has the Windows symbol on it) and press the "R" key.
- A Run box will open.
- Type combofix /uninstall in the run box and click "OK". Please note the space between the "x" and the "/Uninstall", it needs to be there.
- Removal of Tools
- DDS, aswMBR, Systemlook and Junkware Removal Tool can be deleted from your machine.
Best wishes,
JonTom
