Not Sure All Is Fixed - Minor Issue Still

I had several things going on which, unfortunately I can't document too well. But after using CWshredder, ad-aware and and spybot search and destroy, the symptoms went away. (I had had endless popups, plus my IE home page had been replaced by some unknown string). All that seems to be fine now. The only issue I can see so far is that where I used to be able to omit http:// I now need to use it. Any suggestions? Thanks

Thank you Michah It did help! I had an issue with one particular site (and there are others out there like it). One site is a web based email place that begins with "mail.".. I created a key for mail in the registry and put http:// as the value. Do you see any issues I might be unaware of with doing such a thing?
