I had HP 8440p win 7 Pro for about a year now. Today I why I was using my laptop, I could not open Firefox browser, it gave me a "iexplorer…" so I decided to restart my Laptop.(pressing power button) After I choose the option to "start windows normally". it shows me the Microsoft Wins 7 Logo animation. After it its just plan Blank screen. All the lights are on laptop. I googled the issue, it seem to lead to update of BIOS or something. So, I wanted to get official or some profession support before I start to fix the issue. I do have a backup of my HP laptop, to an external harddrive. Please let me know, how can I fix this.
